General Buick Tech / Long cranking before motor starts??

So I'm getting my 2nd black car up and running and dealing with some electrical issues along the way. Happens when you buy a roller and use the old crap wiring harness that came with it. So my car is not turning over until the stock oil pressure sensor is reading pressure. When I turn the key no fuel pressure to the rail once it has cranked a few it finally turns over and car is running. Swapped fuel relays from my other car no change. Fuses are good. How can I fix this what should I be looking for? Also for kicks my oil light is not working on my dash. I'm seeing the oil pressure thru my autometer gauge.

Couple things are bugging me. About the car since I got it back on the road after engine rebuild. First the BLM's have been in the 118 range while cruising. Maybe a bit rich.  Also the car is setup stock other than 42lb inj, adj FP reg, Hotwire kit and TT street chip.
Still have the tube going from the valve cover to the turbo inlet.
Well when I take the oil fill tube off there is a change in the motor runs a little rougher put it back on its fine. On my boost gauge when driving the vacuum is usually 15 right after giving it gas the vacuum drops down into the 20's and then climbs back to 15. Friend said I might have a vacuum leak?? Any thoughts!

Pulled my motor out of my old car got it on the stand to drop the pan to take a peek. The crank has play in it. The pulley all the way to the flywheel was shifting about an1/8 of an inch.
Pulled the 2nd main cap and the thrust bearing is almost gone on the sides. Now if the crank is ok can I just put new bearings in and go or is it complete tear down time and off to the machine shop time??

Question are the threads on the transmission that the cooling lines tread into are they 1/2-20 threads for the 5/16 lines?

General Buick Tech / Power windows help!

I swapped the guts out from my old car to my roller doors yesterday. The roller had a manual crank window in it I guess they replaced it before it got painted and never changed back the motor. Anyway few beers later put the electrical stuff all back in. Since my car doesn't have a battery or pretty much anything in it yet. Can I jump the power window motor with a 12vt current and get it to move. It's a brand new regulator/motor too.

General Buick Tech / Return line repair

So ran into this little problem. My roller I bought the front fuel line fittings are toast. Thanks to Paulie he showed me that Dorman makes a repair kit for 3/8 feed line. The return line is 1/4 I can't seem to find anything. Don't really want to hack up my other car that has my motor in it. Any ideas I have already cut the twisted mess off and now sitting with a 1/4 line that needs an end!!

General Buick Tech / Anybody have their Throttle get stuck!!!

Driving my GN yesterday back home was working on the WE4 this weekend. Went to get on the gas on an open road and the throttle went to the floor scared the living Crap out of me and was stuck. Glad the brakes are on the good side and there were no cars around. So I shifted down to Neutral and shut her down. Turned her back on and same. Turned the car off again let her roll back onto the shoulder and popped the hood. Checked the throttle cable and the bracket everything seemed fine. turned the car back on and it was running fine TPS .42 RPM fine I did notice IAC at 3-5 little low.
I have a spare TV cable I don't know if I should check there or a bad throttle cable. Any ideas?

General Buick Tech / Leak from the fuel rail?

So got done putting my engine back together on my WE4 hook up the battery today to set the TPS, so I turn the key to the accessory position. Smell fuel and the #2 injector is wet. Looks like it's leaking from atop it. I put 42lb injectors in cause the stock injectors were falling apart when I removed them. The 42 are used but the Orings looked pretty good. Used some vasoline to seat the injectors in the cup. Before I rip the rail off what should I be looking for so I can get this fixed. Thanks

IHADAV8 Playground / Observation I saw on TB's today

I was looking at the board traffic and it's got listed 200-250 people on there but as you can see the posting has dropped significatly on most of the
sections. Yet you look at the Timeout room and there is like 80 plus people in there.
Just makes me curious as to wether they the "Owners" are adding traffic to make like that board is still going strong. possibly padding numbers to show advertisers.
Oh well I'll go crawl back under my MAGNA rock and keep watching the snow melt!

General Buick Tech / Waterpump bolt ?

So I'm installing what seems to be a CAS 4v intercooler 19 row. The bracket that came with it on the passangerside mounts to the stud the stock bracket did. The other bolt bolts on to the waterpump long bolt. I need to get a longer bolt does anybody know what size the thread it is, and how long is the stock bolt?

Question I have is what is the Stock size for the intake valves? I know exhaust are 1.5 Im planning on getting my heads done and looking to see if I want to go with bigger valves. or stay stock.
