question, the rims got primer dust/overspray on them. Not really bad but i want to get it off. What works? i've tried gas and then paint thinner but no success? Help!!

have you tried a clay bar,,, or 000 steel wool and thinner will work...thats how i cleaned up overspray on my stainless moldings on my 67...works on chrome too...

Not sure of brand of rims, they are painted black in the center with a shiny aluminum, not chrome, outer rim. Claybar a good idea, I think steel wool will work on the outer rim but afraid to try it on the black part, might have to though, and then use some different polish's to get shine back.

GNX replica rims? Gentle use of steel wool will get rid of the overspray (and likely, the clear coat), you may have to get the centers repainted.

Have you talked to the paint shop about it?
