Am looking for a replacement oil pump pick up tube / screen ass’y for 109 short block.
What’s the recommendation?
* original GM used pick up tube?
* melling pick up tube?
* TA Performance pick up tube?

How many times do I have to say stock junk rules. I only made about 4 million passes with stock junk with zero issues.
-
Ok, would anyone have a nice clean factory oil pick up tube in good condition available?
-
If you cannot find a clean stock pick up tube, I would say either Melling or TA would be fine. What ever you can find that costs the least to deliver. The Melling is $17 from Rock, but, you may find something local that costs less. I don't believe there is anything magic about them

I may have one. Text you if I do.

Not sure I would go with a used pick up when new is available. Either will work

Thanks Gents! :023:
-
Mellings have higher flowing mesh and no trap door to dump contaminates all at once.

Got a Mellings unit on order.
Thanks to all. :023:

How bad is that in reality?
-
The trap door can let large chunk go around the screen.
That's not good for oil pumps, turbos, and bearings.
