Title: Power Logger aux inputs
Post by: daveismissing on October 02 2019, 07:47:22 PM
Finally wiring these things up-questions:
The only sensor you can use with power logger is a 100psi sensor?
Does PL assume 5V or 4.5V at 100psi?
Does the above hold constant when you apply an offset in the settings?
What is the difference in 100psi-B vs 100psi in the settings?
No way to put ANA4 or 5  in the Gauge page?

This is the sensor Eric recommends...1 00PSI.

Which suggests 0.5-4.5volts is the range:

I spent some time sifting through Erics forum...but the particular question didn't come up.

You can use any sending unit you want that has variable voltage (not variable ohms).

Then edit the .ini file to reflect the display numbers relative to the input voltage.

Excellent, that was what I needed. I am re purposing some industrial AST 4-20ma sensors so tweaking in the .ini is easier than resistor fiddling.
.
(You possibly could use an ohmic sensor- as long as you can create an appropriate voltage divider)

IN the past, I never heard much good about the AM sensors.  I have used these with good success  http://www.motorsportsinnovations.com/wide_band_o2_files/WB_Pressure.htm (http://www.motorsportsinnovations.com/wide_band_o2_files/WB_Pressure.htm)

AST- American Sensor Technology, same mfg as mine. Believe Bison is a big fan.
Going to be harder to keep track of now that TYCO-TE have bought them

Dave, I talked to Scoob. He's gonna tune your wifes car to go faster than yours. He can be bribed with Scooby snacks tho. Sugarless of course!
