Funny 24 hr later it is Fuzzy The short version,will the better VE in the aluminum or ported irons lessen my chance of detonation? Trying not to be a slow learner.Iv only had knock two or thee times and never more than 2*KR. But in Sep.I took out a head gasket #1 rod #1 ,2and 3 main.No KR and o2s in 11.5 range previous 5 passes

Well the short block got hurt in September.Car was a 12.0 and a lot of 11.90@ 112-114mph The new short block has #1,2and3 caps a DLS forged rotating assemblies Ill use my Fullthrottle 206-210 roller cam My heads were stock I just cleaned up the casting from the flash and sharp edges,stock valves and 3 angle valve job and beehive springs. Tom at Champion advice is CNC ported Irons, But just a few $100 and Im in a set of aluminum. I now the Irons will go 9s and Im just going to go 11.5 With VE being equal between the two, Weight, hart shape comb. chamber and Chev type Scorpion Rockers Its a 1 vote for the aluminum heads for me How many vote Aluminum , how many vote ported irons and how many vote just leave them the way it was PS a small (very small)chance Ill put this engine in a GenIII and shot for 10s. Thanks for the post on turbo tweak forms. This car gets a lot of shakas on the return road Im the only car in the 11.90 class going through the mufflers and not showing up on a trailer. The forms have been a lot of help I have read Vortex several times Got the CS to 1% I bet the 28 in slicks will change it again but no big deal,Edge said let her rep the clutch will take it

got GN out today,got the CS down to 1% on the PL,
PL doesn't show 4th gear when it is in 4th,TCC light up,probably no big deal

PL speed reading will be low 100mph PL actual mph 104mph I see no speedo offset but I believe I have the proper CS%

got a new Alky chip from TT(4month a go) locking converter @85 that is all it took to get me to my target 11.90 ET
just installed A powerlogger thought I would see more RPM drop (150 rpm) than that?
any thoughts?

Yes the convertor locks on the street good and saloded. Where is your laptop in the car ,you have to hit the spacebar to recoded ? A logger will tell the story on lock wish the logger was like Racepack.

Yes the the car is on ALKY and scanmaster is in the 750-780 most of the time 40 miles home HG OK. Just installed a Wide band not use to looking at it,no help there. 21-22 mph pick up is this cars MO for the past 20 passes convertor locked or not locked,locking @85 gave me 2-3 mph and 12.0 to 11.9 I cant fill the convertor lock on the track but locks fine on the street to and from the track I prefure the KISS tuning The 2step has not changed (2900 6* retard)but it was 12lb not 10lb like it had been. My jaw dropped with 1.44 then 1.38 60ft and the ET was 12.0 I'm not convince those 60ft are right even the 12.0s. It is a different club this week ,the Outlaw club just run test and tune.this is where all my 11.90 slips come from,This club runs a Pro Gas program Im trying to run the 11.90 class Me and this club have gone round and round about safety equment they want 3in belts and trans blanket I did buy the jacket,dont see how they can miss with the lights.IRHR rule book says the car is good to go Started this thread last night after getting home with a little frustration,this car has not been this inconsistent the last 20 passes and this slow last 10

Do I really need a power logger ?two weeks ago I finally got it solid in the 11's, 11.96 @112mph,6 passes ,1.75 60ft ,1/8 mile 7.6@91mph so consistent.Thi s week 12.05-12.33 @110-111mph 1/8 7.88-7.68@88.7-90.8 with my best 60's ever 1.38- 1.44. My 0'2s where 750's this week it was ,695 on my fastest pass 756.Made 4 passes first two was my bad.After two bo bo's I got every thing back to last weeks settings and I was ready.My best 60's but no ET to show for it.

took a Sunday drive set the sway bar to the softest position ,much better ride and not so twitchy.Soft for the street stiff for the track.Glade I have this adjustment

I just so this post for the first time Is that M5 meth.in the ALKY tank or M1 From my old motorcycle days I would say there is a hint of nitromethane and is rich.Never wire brush a plug!when you run a single cylinder two stroke you learn this real quick,no body next door to pickup the slack.My 3.8 has 5000 miles on the plugs has no seals on the EX. valve and puffs a little smoke at start up, and look way better than those.
