So the machine shop that did my 4.1 put cork valve cover gaskets on and as usual oil pours out of it! Does anyone have the part number for the rubber ones with the metal inserts?
I see that lots of Replubicans do not like Obamacare or the affordable care act. Being Canadian it sounds like it would be a good plan. So what are the things that you don't like about it? Is the main issue an increase in taxes?
Just wondering who all has one and what there thoughts are? I was going to put mine on today but it would be incredibly hard with the 6468 on there because of the size of the turbo and the small fitting that has to go to the wastegate, so I will have to put a connection on there to make it work. According to my power logger my boost kicks in at 2800rpm but doesn't get up to full boost till about 4800 rpm. I guess that isn't too bad with a 68 exhaust wheel and .85 A/R. Wondering what the RJC will be like on it?
So, I have 3/4 of the kit installed and I am going to get a buddy to finish it off. Working nights so I can't spend much time on it. I put a little methanol in the tank and noticed it is leaking right where the braided line connects to it. Can you tighten that line?
I finally pulled my DS out and put the Power Logger in and got it going. Loading the drivers was weird I tried a few different methods till I finally got one to work. And I updated my Laptop, that took an 1 1/2 hours with 134 updates! I'm going to tackle putting in my 80lb injectors this weekend. My question is weird did you guys mount the board that connects the wideband to the PowerLogger? For some strange reason I originally thought it was part of the PL. Thanks,Nick
So I am finally getting around to installing my Power Logger. I copied it onto a usb and onto my laptop with windows 7. When I go to open it the window is only 3/4 of the screen and the full screen in the top right corner is not available. Andy ideas? Also is there anything else I need to know? Thanks,Nick
I know it is like beating a dead horse. I finally got the 4.1 running and put a new Delco cover on it that I had sitting around for ever. My oil pressure cold is around 60 if not a bit shy. I'm thinking since I will probably be revving the engine close to 6500 rpm I might need some more oil pressure going by the 10 psi/1000 rpm rule. What do you guys think?
Damn that is one huge biatch! It makes my old CPT66 look like a stock turbo. Can't wait to see how it performs! I was going to post a picture but I have to resize and I lost my old program for doing that.
I was thinking of just putting in my Pennzoil Race oil. I was going to use Rotella but I was told that it has more detergent and less ZDP in it. I have a roller cam so I don't have to worry about that. What do you guys think?
What size is the big fitting that screws into the front of the block for the oil return? Does anyone know? It is the one that the return line then screws into.
