Title: Body Trim and Bezels
Post by: YGspider on August 20 2013, 04:23:50 PM
What would be the best way to restore bezels? Primer then black paint? Because it seems that just hitting it with black doesn't work as well as I thought it would. What about plasti dip?

When I restored mine I took all parts that originally came in the trim black and removed, sanded, fixed any small dents or imperfections, primed and then repainted in trim black. Lots of time, very few $$ but as with most everything, the devil is in the details

I've used satin black successfully & they've turned out real nice....like any painting job though, preparation is 90% of the job. Be sure they are cleaned & use a fine sand paper , prior to painting do not touch them with your fingers as you'll leave oil on them & will compromise the quality of your paint job.
