I won't pollute Mikes thread further;
There were 5 GNs that arrived at Toronto Area dealerships from the late builds in Dec 1987.
I looked at all of them, they were very very close in options and bottom line. Don't recall there being a hardtop in the bunch.
( my sales guy was an old GM top performer and apparently was empowered to round off to the nearest dollar)
From my invoice ( backing out my trade in and discount):
base Regal $14,290
GN package $5,212
concert sound casette $458
remote mirrors $43
tinted glass $170
body side mouldings $75
6 way pwr seat $302
power locks $197
power windows $283
power trunk $54

pulse wipers $68
lighted sunvisor psgr $78
limited slip $130
block heater $27
tilt steering $155

LOL... you know I don't mind, right?

October 87 built bought nov 87 pretty much like you descibed except no power seat -$302 and no t roof minus $1172 but factory alarm Forget the price for that.
Big Mikes car nov 87 build is also a hardtop bought in Ham also.
What are we discussing anyway?

I've got my sticker from limited. When I get off hitch, I'll take a pic of it and post it
-
My car stickered at $16,661
It is a we4
Has g80 $100
Rear defrost, remote mirrors on both sides. No pwr locks or pwr windows.
It was pretty unloaded. Though there were five optioned the same from the dealer I got mine from. I have seen two others.

I guess we were trying to dial in prices by line item for a Canadian invoice.
Historical Canuck prices are much less available.
Mike really needs 1980 prices but perhaps some scaling can be used.
If I can dig out my '84 Z28 invoice that would be closer.
'Altho to paraphrase Mike I'm sure that was only 15K all in :)
Jason's will be interesting to see, as Ron alluded to the pricing is likely not purely exchange tied but affected by the relative states of both economies? As I recall it with the old Autopact stuff just went across the border both ways without duties or fuss.

I think it's interesting to note in 1971 I got a 1970 stage 1 , auto with 3.42 posi, air, 8track for $2995 cad.

Was that with a full tank of gas Dave?
-
edit: Was it a buck a gallon then or two?
-
Although not an 87 GN :rolleyes;
The Limited was $23 467.38 in 1987
-
^^^^^ That is a dealer generated price list though and looks like the price was 21000. What was the factory window sticker price and list?
-
The dealer gave the original owner a $2467.38 discount. I do not have the window sticker. The price of the options on the dealer sheet are the Canadian $ list price of the the options on the car.

That's cool! Canadian style Monroney sticker!

This is Merica! Speak Merican!

Actually it is a carbon copy of the bill of sale from the dealer. Monroney stickers from Canadian cars of the era seem to be hard to come by. Most of the cars sold here were dealer preped and the window stickers are long gone.

Did you miss the joke?
