Simple question: How can I get more legroom? I don't have the equipment or training to cut and weld steel. Does somebody sell extensions for the seat brackets? Safe extensions that won't fold up in an accident.

Google led me to ebay for some for a Camaro...don't know about gbodies
-
Years ago when I converter mine to a power seat I gained about 2 inches over the standard track
-
How difficult is it to change to power seats? Will the rails etc., connect to the original bolts and thus the seat?
-
Yes it's quiet easy. Best to find a a used power G-body seat complete. Some junk yards sell just the lower cushion. Just unbolt from cushion and bolt to your seat. All holes and mountings are the same. You will have to supply fused power to the seat. Also cut the fabric and foam on the side of your cushion to mount the switch assembly.

I found some. Only two inch extension, but what a difference it made. Much better. Case closed.

glad you found them. When I was putting my Camaro together to sell, the buyer was 6' 7". It was amazing to me how much difference the 2" extensions made when I put them in.

You might want to look at these. I made my own with a little cutting and drilling. But if you don't want to fab your own this is for you.
