Buying the truck was an adventure. I put a battery in it and it lit right off, we let it run for 30 seconds and moved it out into the driveway to look at it better. I kept smelling fuel but thought it was just running rich, as it's sat for a while. About a minute into it idling my brother told me to kill it. Nylon fuel line not routed properly, spraying fuel onto the drivers exhaust manifold.
Needless to say we stood back and informed the owner that he might want to get fire extinguisher.
It turned out to be an non issue but he had paid a shop $300 to fix this fuel line and it could have cost him his garage/house/truck/life
Quick negotiation and we loaded it up.
I have repaired the fuel line so I can run the truck and test stuff before I disassemble.
