Charlief1 [12/05 - 10:08 PM]:
It's carb/turbo. Not like the lazy guys that are using SFI after all. :O
daveismissing [12/06 - 08:35 AM]:
Hey, I was very good a swapping around Quadrajet  metering rods and jets till I got about 1/2 a mile per gallon....    :O
Charlief1 [12/06 - 01:13 PM]:
LOL That is soooo typical. I still get guys asking me to build one for them and can't understand why I charge $400 to do it. :O For some reason they think it should be like $50 to do a full rebuild and mod so the car will work right. :rolleyes; :add_wegbrech:

Funny at 16 one thinks one knows alot  :)
I quickly learned :

1) GM engineers are not stupid
2) I sure didn't know enough to start swapping rods and jets.

Realization #1) was re-inforced when I spent hundreds on a bright yellow ACCEL clutch and got maybe a month out of it.

Local tranny guy, fairly young himself, laughed at me and asked me these two questions.
How many engineers do you think GM has?
and how many do you think somebody like Accel has?
