Takes about twice the size of pump than the usual 10% ethanol.  E 85 is very corrosive as well.

There are some companies that specialize in cleaning out fuel tanks.  I believe they use something to line them with after getting them clean to prevent the rust from reappearing.  I know there is one near Houston.

I am with Ed, nothing special required with the pump.  I would check with Cotton or Mike Licht.

Make sure it's actually coming from the valve cover and not the back corner of the intake manifold

From a distance, I agree with you.  Fittings are a pain in the neck but a cracked case is a lot bigger pain.

I guess those knock off fittings are a risk.  I think I went with Earls the last time when I was working on the Challenger and some stuff on the Green Mile wagon.

Derek was on Tony DeAngelo's show getting a Fairlane GT running that he had bought.  He kept spraying rusty drums and such black.  He said he was making it "new" again.

He's got some nifty tricks.

Need some beads in it to make it stiffer.

they have some darned strong panel adhesive out these days that does a really good job.  You could put some of that around the seams and then a few rivets to hold it nice and flat.  Some undercoat on the bottom side and some insulation on top.

I tried to put one on backwards  a few years back.  I did not notice that the thread sizes were different from front and rear.  I put it on the way that it seemed to fit best.  Then I realized neither end would screw in.  It fit pretty well with a few bend corrections.

Then it got a few more bend corrections when I pulled it off and and re-bent it to best fit the other way around.  Not one of my better days but it still works.
