I'm only running 14 lbs of boost but I was still completely destroyed by a Dodge SRT4 by about 10 car lengths... .then last night I couldnt even pull away from a Mitsubishi Montero... yah an SUV!
I need an alky kit, duck neck and to get rid of this false knock bullshit! :mad: :jerkit;

Yopu need to get a base tune , and tuned correctly before you add/mod anything.
Or sell it and get an SRT4.. Fuschia...

My fuel pressure gauge is fucked but I think I am running lower than 40lbs line off. Around 38. bls sit around 130-133 at WFO....
what are some cause of false knock? And how the hell do you fix it? I mean if my downpipe is hitting what do I do or how do I know its actually the downpipe? ... etc...

stock pipe. Lou put a "different" sensor on and its 12lbs.
I have no idea where it is hitting or if it even is... but the knock is down low but its alot like 10. If I ease into it I can get WFO with very very little KR...

I tried to check voltage once but didnt really know how to do it.... I just pulled off the hot lead and tried to check it but it read nothing with the ignition on... kinda wierd...

Jesus, didn't Lou bend you over to fix it? Cam, timing chain, etc? What else could be wrong? Turn up your furl pressure and swap the chip out. Try an Eric Fisher (Turbo Tweak).

yah he bent me over. He fixed cam and timing set... still get knock somewhere somehow with something??? I have had four different chips, I dont think they are the problem

Check your motor mounts to make sure your engine isn't jumping around.
Also check the trans mount. It sounds mechanical whereas your knock is somewhat diminished when you ease into it. Also check for other loose brackets such as alternator, intercoller, loose tourqe converter bolts , and anything that could
make noise etc...These things are old now. Everything wears out, loosens up,
and breaks. So you have to be vigilant.

new motor mount, tranny was replaced no difference, no loose bolts up front, torque converter bolts are tight, torque strap on... same issue before AND after all these things were checked...
My car does shift HARD so that could be it... but I dont know

Yes, the noise made by the intercooler hitting the swaybar can be transmitted throught the brackets to the engine block.

If your intercooler is hitting the sway bar, then it needs to be repositioned. This can be accomplished by adjusting or tweaking the brackets and also the hoses. There is no magic spray.

I had my IC hitting the sway bar (both stock) and found that one of the brackets had come loose.

What the fuck is so wrong that makes your IC hit the swaybar? Check your pass side bracket. Tighten it up or bend it up a little.
Also, maybe your turbo is clocked in a downward position letting you IC rest lower with no support? Reclock it?

When is the Knock Happening (if you stated this already sorry) is it at the shifts or all the time? 8 to 10 degrees is Fin high. now for the stupid questions if you turn the boost down does the knock go away or stay there? If you havent tryed race gas yet try it with the same boost lvl and see if knock is the same. If you turn the boost down and you have to turn it way way down then i would say that the knock is false. If you turn it down and the knock stays then you have bigger fish to fry. I am sure you probably know all this already but i am just trying to start simple.

knock ramps ups with boost starting at 4-5... so that would assume its real. For example:
5lbs 2.3 kr
7lbs 4.5 kr
10lbs 11kr
but if I hold 10lbs for shits and giggles it will jump around 7. 14.12.11.10.15 ...etc...
race gas has been in but that just "richens" it up way to much and wont spool the turbo or even allow rpms to climb.
Ive taken out timing in the T+ and no change.
oh well, ithe knocks been there for 3 years so I'm not really missing anything

Damn, didn't you fly great with 100 octane? List all the shit you've replaced so far. Might be your cam sensor or something.
