Most don't realize how important it is to have ZERO pre-turbo leaks. You've got the bases covered. Nice work. It'll spool like a mad whore.

Scoob! If I recall in your engines the Bearings always look evenly worn. I can always save them for you next time.

I learned early on to get off the loud pedal if I see a hint of KR....cuz it`ll turn bearings into tinfoil in a heartbeat. I have Joe magnaflux the block, rods and crank...and the crank and rods are checked for straight. If an align hone is required...the n it`s done...along with the deck being checked for straight. The big ends on the rods are also checked for size...and the rotating assembly balanced. I leave the bearing clearances and ring gaps up to Joe. He does the oiling mods to the cover and sets the oil pump clearances.

Getting back on track. Larry, it`s hard to say if the clearances were correct in that engine...or how much KR it saw.

Larry...thanks so much for the pics and part numbers. If I ever get in a jamb then my guy at the speed shop can bail me out. :)

Canadian couple scaled the American side of the Falls on Tuesday. Damn that's cool! I've done the walk under the Falls...and it feels like a constant earthquake. They said the power of the Falls was staggering...a nd they could feel it shaking.

Larry...not sure if an engine imbalance would cause that. The original engine in my car had a heckuva vibration to it...never thot to ask Joe what the bearings looked like when he freshened it up for me. That engine is the one I`m currently beating on...and I always have Joe balance the rotating assemblies on all my engines.

Like Steve says...check for an air leak. 02 is seeing lean...so the ECM is throwing fuel at it. Put an AFPR on it and set it to 43 line off. Let's see what it says then. I use gaskets on the headers and turbo flange...but that's just me. :)

Gavin...that THDP will fit like a glove. I'm fairly certain that puck won't control boost with that 6265. Jason sells a biggie puck. Call and ask him if it'll fit that THDP. You may have to break out the die grinder and clearance the inside of the pipe so it swings freely. On a sidenote, I heard Jason was in an ATV accident. If that's true...he may not be back at the shop just yet.

I've used the blue pan gasket exclusively on my engines...with no leaks. Like Steve says...prolly over torqued.

If you're gonna go with a FMIC...then RJC or nothing. Same goes for the exhaust and DP...RJC...or nothing. Stay away from the Chinese junk...cuz that's all it is.

There's a rumour there's some idiot north of the border that's gone 6.72 at 104.67 with a 6262 with a 16930, a TT 5.7 chip and reworked 8445 heads.  :) The 6265 makes another 30 HP all in over the 6262.

Any chance you could shoot a video of the parts you have for the hydroboost...a nd the install? Thanks for the vids so far...the car is coming along great.

I have the 4" setup on my car with the 85 MM Z06 MAF...which requires the 3 to 5 pin adaptor...avai lable from FT. You'll also have to use a different base setting in the Translator...c an't remember which one tho. The Z06 MAF is actually 3.75" if memory serves. I ordered the proper adaptor hose from one of the speed shops up here. Think it was Karbelt.

Jason, if you stick with the stock headers...be very careful where you buy a new crossover pipe from. I have a new one here from Kirbans...and it's nowhere near close to fitting. Not sure where Kirbans sources them from.
