What was everyone's first car?  

Sad to say, mine was 1990 (graduation present) it was a Geo Storm.   Biggest piece of crap I ever bought.  To this day my father reminds me what a piece of shit it was.

My first was a 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II  383 four speed.  Damn I wish I still had that car.

1981 Chevy El Camino, used to be my dad's. He forgot how many times the odometer rolled over, it's had 4 engines and 2 transmissions in it so far. Last was my built SBC with a turbo 400 behind it.

Anyway, the driver's door was stuck shut, and the window was gone. All shocks were blown, front coil spring was cracked. Radio speakers disintegrated, it was AM only anyway. Bad, bad times.

I'll find a picture of this gem when I got it.

My first not to hit the road was an 1971 Opel GT.

The first on the road was a 1980 Pontiac Sunbird, 2.5 4 cyl with a 4-speed. It was fun to drive but not real fast.

Was the Sunbird an oil leaker like they were notorious for. I had an '84 Chevy Celebrity for a while that would loose about half of whatever you put it it.
However the floorpan never rotted out either... I did a buch of stuff to that car
that probably started the whole "ricer" trend back in the day. It had a scoop from
a Dyer 6-71 blower (leftover parts from a monster truck that my brother used to work on) I used a bicycle brake cable attached to the throttle body that would
open the butterflies whenevah you whacked the throttle. It had a Camaro wing on the trunklid, a chain steering wheel, and then I painted it with blue spray bombs.
A fey days later my buddies dad helped me tape it and paint 2 gold rally stripes on it. Then we covered it with a bunch of racing stickahs. Ohh yeah, it had a load sound system too. SuCka can attest to that. We used to stop at a Dunkin' Donuts before work. Our boss knew when we were almost there because he'd hear us turn down
the sound system to order our coffee...(about a half mile away  :rofl; ) Good times...

My first car was a  '53 Ford with Fordamatic.  I sold it to Zap and told him it was the prototype for the Chevette and had been test driven by Thomas Dewey.

He bought it instantly when I showed him how to rev it up in neutral and drop it into gear and it would make this cool whining noise without going anywhere.

Told me it would work really well in his front yard as it was not in danger of jumping off the concrete blocks.
