New T codes 32 and 44

Ok guys, getting a tad frustrated with this ‘87 TR I picked up in early Nov.
I’m getting codes on the SM I picked up, so I can see through the window a bit clearer.
Car runs pretty darn good except at idle.
Here’s what I’ve done so far.
Denso 1001 02 sensor
Cleaned IAC....counts are around 20 hot idle
Fresh plugs, NGK UR5’s, good tested wires, coil pack ect..
FP regulator was toast so I pick up a 237 from Expander (thx Steve)
I have replaced ALL vacuum lines
TPS is st .42 @ idle
Fresh oil and filter.
Today I pulled the EGR and checked, it’s good and no blockage  and replaced gasket

The car is an original 79k Kms but sat a lot
I do have a stock TT chip burned for 28’s to install yet.
My suspicion is MAF, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t run like a beast off idle.
Maybe injectors?
The BL’s won’t budge off 150 at idle.
At idle cold it’s rather rough, not bad but til it warms up it’s a bit rough
Oh, I did do rap test in MAF as well, no change.
Maybe I should get that TT in and move from there?
Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated

If you're trying to turn around a stock ship and physically have a TT chip, you're going about it backwards.  That's like trying to tune a carb around a found spark plug.  Only worse.

I wouldn't do a thing until that TT chip is installed.    I'd also get that POS stock MAF out of that car yesterday.

Put the TT chip in. What does the maf read at warmed up idle?

Jim, I'm off for 11 days. Let me know if you want me to take a run up. That TT chip will need an AFPR...but should work for testing purposes. Swap the MAF/Translator from your other car to test?

Put the TT chip in. What does the maf read at warmed up idle?

Steve, the MAF reading at idle is 5-6

Yes Earl, I understand but I was hoping the stock MAF was ok, as this car is fairly rare and just wanted to have it remain stock. I have my LT-1 from you and need another translator anyway, so will probably go that route.
I was just trying to dial it in best I could with basic settings. I’ll have the TT chip in soon👍

Not going to rob Peter to pay Paul Brad, I’m not touching the Ltd lol
I will get what’s necessary for this car, rather than scoop stuff off the Ltd.
I meant to mention as well guys, the FP is 37/43 respectively line on/off. (Bosh 237 Regulator)
I left the gauge on the car overnight and FP dropped to 25psi over the course of a 12 hr period.

As stated I did all vac lines ect...
Does the MAF reading look wrong? I believe my Limited is about the reading at idle.
I also ment to mention the SES light comes on intermittently .....kinda strange as it mostly comes on at idle, then when driving the car it will go out then back on again.
I also tried the propane trick around all vac sources to see if idle changed...noth ing.
Just thought of one thing I didn’t do and that was to see if the EGR solonide is commanding vacuum at idle.

BUT as said, I will follow advice and install TT chip before moving forward.

Brad, thanks so much for offer, I’m pretty busy over the holidays and such but will be in touch if the chip and other checks don’t help me make some leeway.

Off idle runs smooth...  150 blm's.... Cold start is rough but cleans up a bit when warm... My guess is an injector is weak and staying closed until fuel pressure rises

One thing I did try this morning as I’m short on time, is running it and checking the EGR operation as it’s giving a code 32 consistently. I pulled vac line off valve and the car cleaned right up as far a smoothness at idle goes. When I re attach the vac line the car idles roughly. No difference hot or cold. The valve moves freely when vac line applied. Ports are clear as well.
Still sends code but the car car idles MUCH better without the EGR valve hooked up.
Yes I’m very suspicious of the injectors. BL 150. INT dances around 135-142

Did you have a really good look at the ribbed intake pipe?
 If the wastegate rod is not modified I doubt the stock chip hurt it.

Yes Dave, the flex hose to turbo from MAF?
That intake hose in is excellent condition

Also, for added info guys, I did a cylinder pressure check on all 6.
The numbers are all very good and range from 150-155psi

"I want to keep it stock" is starting to be my "10sec"  when it comes to my eyes glazing over.
