I would also suspect a flange, runout or bolt hole discrepency as well as a balance issue. Just a thought.

I keep looking at catalogues and I have yet to see anything out there that looks "just right" on a GN. I'm not a GNX rim guy.

I think a 17" is the maximum for a modernized period correct feel.
( don't know how else to express this)

Not yet seen a pattern I like  - A polished vector-like rim  in 17' might work, if it existed,

I like the 17" Torque Thrust on the GN's.

Hey Paul (TWIN86GNS),

Find a KAL Tire in your area and bring in the wheels to have them road force balanced.
This will get them balanced as good as they can be & the procedure will reveal if your rims are within spec or not and same goes for the tires.

I had them road force balance mine & they discovered one of the front BF Goodrich G Force Sport tires was not within spec. & replaced it (even though I bought the tires in Detroit some years earlier).

From that day on road force balancing is the only way I get any of mine or families vehicles tires balanced. Costs a bit more, but is well worth it!

dave

Much like me and the TA catalog.

Even though they are heavy as hell, I still think a GN needs GN wheels.  Granted I widened mine, but from the side it's still a GN wheel.

Another issue with new aluminum rims is they need to be checked for torque on the lug nuts after a couple of hundred miles of driving. Balancing is the key to a good running tire. Less weights use those tires up front.

What's odd if I gave up on balancing car tires years ago.   I can never noticed a difference in ride enough to justify the trouble.  Now making sure they're running round (and true) on the other hand is all the difference.

Get used to it. He's a horrible business man, and without the protection he gets on TB.com from being a paying vendor, he wouldn't be around anymore.

I would contact my credit card company and dispute the charge NOW.
