The trick with map lights is to mount them backwards so the photons are aimed out the rear glass.  I learned that on Star Trek

that is the way I exit my lift when I have a car under it and one behind it and I want the one on it out to drive...put the tranny brake on, go to 3000 rpm and hit reverse

the head was already lifted,,due to dowel pin not seating all the way in....lol...
