Scrap was $180 a ton - cleared $300 on the body/frame with the trans/transfer case and front diff.

I ran the in tank fuel pump with a M18 drill battery. Put some hose on the feed line under the hood and started filling gas cans. When the pump started getting loud the tank was empty - haha. It would have been handy had I been able to find the wires under the hood but I ended up dropping the tank and splicing in at the weather pack connector.

ah, okay.  One of my buicks has been blocked up in the air by the wagon we have been working on.  Gas is over a year old.   Looks like I need to put the wagon on the lift somehow but I figure I probably need to get rid of the old gas and hope that the tank is not jelly inside....

I don't think any of the cheaper drill attachment pumps are fuel-rated.
Something like this should work Steve. yes, that would work and you are right.  None of the drill pumps are rated for gasoline due to the spark potential.  I am in the middle of a quandary at the moment.  On my T type, I can pump it out thru the rail or the fuel line at the back.  On the wagon, I need some kinda of pump.

I am concerned because they have both sitting for a year and a half.  It may be okay.  Might be able to pour a little
 fresh fuel in the tank if it has not gone completely bad on me...

Ordered shelving today! 8ft High, 17' wide, and 2' deep. Should be enough to get started!

What's everyone using for air compressor plumbing? Looks like Rapid air pretty much has the market nailed. I'm thinking the 3/4" flexible aluminum line, the 100% nylon seems like it's asking for issues down the road.

The shop has tunes now, and mini-fridge.  Still waiting on some more shelf parts but, I have 6ft of it assembled. And yes, that is 2750lbs per beam!

Cleaned up the car and took it downtown for a little cruise in. My youngest son rode with me on the way there and was smiling ear to ear, on the way home I laid into it pretty good and my oldest son was riding with me. He chewed my ass out, told me I was going to go to jail for speeding   :rofl:
 A 7psi pull on slicks felt pretty good!

The stripper pole needs to be removable so, I can take it down and kick the strippers out before the wife gets home. The fridge was my beer fridge back from when I was able to drink alcohol, now it's got water and Coke in it.

Nice shop Jeremy!!! I'm always a sucker for burgundy/wine colored vehicles. Billet Specialties look mean as fuck on it. If you're gonna put a vintage stereo system in the shop, do it now. Prices are rising on a daily basis. I drove 2.5 hours for a Toshiba tuner, pre amp and amp on Saturday circa 1978-81 to add to the shop. Also picked up an EQ for it as well. For home theater I use Yamaha for ease of setup. Paradigm speakers are nice for home theater. I use strictly Realistic speakers for vintage. They'll hold their own against anything. Pioneer SX 780 is the highest selling vintage receiver of all time so you should find one...but expect to pay around 5-600 bucks for a recapped one. I have a 680, 780 and 980 in the man cave.

brad, you have not shown us many pictures of your shop since construction had begun.  Looks really nice from what I saw the other day.

Burgundy is where it's at, for sure.  He needs a thunderchicken on the hood with some "living fire" to embellish it.

Brad I’ve got more than enough sound with these 2 6.5”bookshelf speakers and 10” powered sub. Speakers are the Dayton b652 driven off a t-amp, and the sub is a Polk audio. While not anything high end, it jams pretty good.

All the old guys flocked to my car like stink on shit as soon as I rolled into the the cruise in. They were all picking my brain. Most of them are all old school carb so they haven’t really seen anyone build anything fuel injected to this extent.
