I do this for a living. Most modern processors are limited by the speed of main memory. The gold standard used to be 4 memory channels per socket. Upped the game to 6. AMD Zen upped it to 8. So most engineering codes run pretty good on zen even though it's 1/2 the flops/clock compared to skylake.
ARM is interesting and has the same benefits as Zen but it's not X86 compatible. 37

NVIDIA is still pretty proud of their stuff. Seems they're selling all the V100's they can to Cloud AI providers. AMD is quite interesting these days though.

You don't need it below 15 PSI. You're OK. YOu can hook the purple to the 2 step (but I don't remmber if the meth kit takes voltage or a ground to disable the injection)

General Buick Tech / Re: I miss all of you guys over here!« on: November 27 2017, 02:27:13 PM »And lastly, why does the wastegate hole need to be ported? The actuator it came with won't seal properly? The wastegate works by passing exhaust flow mass around the turbine wheel. If it can't bypass enough it can't lower the boost. At the same time exhaust back pressure is acting on the wastegate puck trying to force it open. If it's too open the wastegate will crack open early and bleed off boost. |
