For Sale/Trade/Want To Buy / Dutt neck IC For sale
« on: December 07 2014, 05:12:41 PM »
Selling my Dutt neck IC just removed from my car. Works well went high 11s with it. I would rather not ship a stock shroud with it as this will make box size much larger and shipping more. Will include a stepped hose 2 to 2.5 inch. $150 plus shipping. Figuring 15lbs 22x20x6 box from 89123 UPS ground.

General Buick Tech / Camshaft question

I saw a Lunati cam for the Buick showing more duration on the intake than on the exhaust side. What advantage would that have as most cams I see are the opposite?

General Buick Tech / Re: Front Sway Bar Removal For Racing
« on: July 10 2014, 08:53:21 PM »
I first removed my front sway bar with a stock rear bar and LCAs and it was scarey! After I got my solid LCAs and Hellwig rear bar I removed it again and car felt about the same as with the bar on. The front sway bar is staying off the car full time now. Ive pulled several 1.63 60 ft off foot brake.  Thats about .10 better than it ever did before.

Ran TnT twice in the last few weeks. Temp was 100 degrees and DA was about 5100 both times. found car doesnt make any more power over 25-26lb boost. Got the knock cleaned up, still showing some on the trans shift occasionally. Im done at the track until the fall, the heat is here for the duration  :rolleyes; . The E85 did seem to keep the car from feeling heatsoaked.

Ya Steve I bought the transducer from them. Im running car tonight so I will see how it looks at WOT for a while. When car idles the reading on PL data page changes so fast its hard to read.

Its a Bosch adj regulator.  Im running a 320lph pump for e85 and its starting to overpower my stock return line a little. Base psi wont go lower than about 45psi line off. Not sure if that would add to the pressure bouncing around. Was just curious if its normally more of a steady line.

I just hooked up my fuel psi transducer. Should the reading be steady on PL or will it fluctuate 3-4 psi even at idle? I would expect some jumping around under boost since my boost jumps around a bit. Heres a PL log just driving down road to show what its doing. Thanks

I actually have been pulling 3rd gear timing because of the knock. Erics default timing was 22 in 3rd gear. I will get a handle on the Kr before I run again.

Since the track friday I have turned down my 3/4 timing to 18 degrees and changed the 3/4 AFR target to 11.0 from 11.2. Also added WOT fuel. Would like to get on the track one more time before its to hot!
