How Fast Would It Go?
« on: December 15 2015, 11:15:49 PM »
I have my eye on a bone stock driver quality TType. How fast would it go with the following mods at 25 PSI on a 1.7X launch.

RJC Power Plate
60 LB Injectors and matching 110 TT race chip
44/49 with a .83 or .85 Precision exhaust housing
Off the shelf 2800 PTC NL convertor
LT1 MAF with Translator/CAI
AFPR
Right Rear air bag
Dutt neck welded to a stock SLIC
981 valve springs
Steve Monroe ported exhaust elbow
Hollowed out cat
255 LPH fuel pump and hotwire kit
Boost, KR and SM...and tuned with PL and NB

1.7 60 foot means you plan for good tires.  So yeah, somewhere in the 11s.  I'd do a 3000 stall with a clutch and lock it on the big end for more mph.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

So you just looked at all the stuff sitting on your shelf and made a list?

At first i thought 11.7-8 but with only 25 psi I'm going to say 12 ohs . If you can get the 60 ft into the 1.50 range then I can see it in the 11s and more boost will also get you there. Gotta have it tuned well and a decent driver too.

With the exchange rate...this is gonna be on an extreme budget. The fuel pump and hotwire kit will be new...the rest...used. Rich...with the stock heads I don't think it would do much above 25 PSI. The 2800 convertor and the 44/49 with the big exhaust housing should be a perfect match...with low gear fuel/timing dialed in. Mike, if I were to go LU...it'd be a Precision  2800 multidisc...ot herwise an off the shelf 2800 PTC NL. I saw Brandon on Sunday...and he's a tuning wizard...but stays quiet. He went 11.01 at 123 with a 6131 on 21 PSI...pump gas...and a 1.73 launch...with a 2800 PTC NL convertor. Slip was minimal.

Well Brad, my combo is pretty much what your talking. Little larger turbo with the TE60. I'm thinking I'll break into the high 11's with a better 60' next year.

I am guessing with stock heads, sweet spot will be 28 psi.

Everyone says my car is slow too, but it does have a race weight of over 4000lbs so I know it is making power.
