I have checked for exhaust leaks way to many times to count when searching for why no boost. No leaks. Wouldnt an exhaust leak tick sound off when bringing up rpms even in park? Load or not, exhaust leak ticking would be there, wouldnt it??

Throw it in gear in the driveway...and foot brake it a tad...should be able to hear the exhaust leak under load.

Under load tick could be an exhaust leak

Exactly why I use header gaskets and an RJC turbo gasket. After a million heat cycles...nothi ng is straight...at least in my opinion. I also use proper header to x-over  pipe exhaust nuts and studs...availa ble from your favorite exhaust shop. I slowly tighten the x over nuts on...and check with my finger to make sure the flange is even all the way around for zero leaks.

For those opting for vacuum brakes I can highly recommend the Russell SS brake lines that replace the 3 flex hoses. Firms up the brake pedal immensely.

Lifters have to spin...and if they don't...then it takes out the cam lobe(s). I highly recommend spending a few extra buck on a roller cam setup...to avoid this. There was a guy in Michigan selling cams real cheap a few years back...so yours truly gave one a go...and this was the result. As soon as it started ticking...we swapped out to an ATR cam I had kicking around.

Good to hear you got your life together. Steve and I are testing the limits of stock bolt on junk on my POS GN to see how fast we can get it to go before the internals exit the block. :)

Beautiful car...and a clean no expense spared build. If it were my car, I wouldn't be trusting that old alky kit with that new engine.

May have missed it in the writeup...but what size turbo?

It's pulling in 3rd gear with a fresh set of valve springs? Nah...couldn't be. :)

Jeremy...here's an F Body for ya'. :) This is my buddy Mike I race with. I assume it's the LS1 block...but bored or stroked to 402. Maybe you can tell by the underhood pic. He usually hits me up for some race gas...lol...to fill that square container on the right with the round lid on it...can't remember what he said  he needs that little shot of race gas for. Maybe you know. Those are MT ET Streets 11.5's on the rear...and his short time is usually 1.48 to 1.52. Best is 10.01...and he normally checks in around 10.2 to 10.3 at 135 to 138. Has the original reworked 4 speed auto with a Yank 3400. Drives the car to and from the track...not a sissy like I am trailering  mine. :)

Oh...almost forgot...it has 3 stages of nitrous. :)

Guiness Book Of World Records has me named as the only person on the planet that adjusts his boost pressure with the actuator rod.

With line lock and all long rear pads and S-10 rear wheel cylinders you can hold some silly RPM's on the line. I don't recommend the rear brake setup I have on a street car...cuz the arse end can come around on you in a panic situation...or on a damp or dusty road. Been there...done that.

Can a bad lifter be changed

Gotta yank the intake. Mite wanna start saving your pennies for a roller cam setup from FT.
