what is wrong with the current location?  What disaster are you hoping to avoid?
If the line popped out of the tee, the MAP sensor sees 0 boost and stops spraying ALKY but you were at 20 lbs of boost, that's what I'm hoping to avoid. 

Do most have the "T" method or do some have two separate places-one line for boost gauge-one for MAP? Maybe I"m too paranoid :icon_confused:

What is the best place to tap for my boost gauge? I have ALKY and right now the line from the dog house (the port next to the PCV line) is tee'd, one goes to inside of the car and the other goes to the MAP sensor. I always worry if the T fitting would leak or break that could spell disaster. How do you all have it??Thanks

Steve, When I had the tank out it did not look collapsed on either end. I kinda remember it always had lots of pressure at the gas cap for years (15 +yrs). It was until recently that
I checked it when I did my new pump. Who sells a vented cap?

Sean, The hose was not pinched when I re installed the tank. This line did not flow air with the compressor when the tank was out. I thought maybe it had some dirt clogging the line but I don't see how it could get in their, it is not exposed.

I guess I will try to replace all the rubber sections on the line.

I am putting in my new engine (well, spare low mileage stock block with roller cam & ported 8445's). I have replaced my fuel pump with a racetronix pump last year and I already had a hot wire kit.

I do notice that my vent line (the one from the black canister to the tank) is clogged. When I would drive the car around and then un capped the gas cap, tons of air/pressure escapes. I tried to use some compressed air in the end of the line by the canister and also at the other end when I replaced the pump, but it does not flow. Is this common? The car drove fine but I want to make sure it is safe.

Any ideas on how to cure this??

I have been reading post over here for about a year...coming from the other two sites. I had engine problems and Billy Anderson has set up an engine for me. I just got it back so I am slowly putting it in. I just have been out of it for a while, that's why no posts. Sorry for the dry humor :rock:

Permatex Copper Anti-Seize is O2 safe and has no effect on readings. Just don't glob it on.  As Steve said new O2 sensors are pretreated. You only need anti-seize for re-install.  Other anti-seize products like Never-seize are made for industrial use and not electrical parts or sensors.
Becareful with that stuff....you get it in your eyes you never-seize again :icon_lol:
