Posted the same time as you did Phil...and just saw you have fuel leaks. Fix 'em...and take it for a quick drive and report back. The engine might be starving for fuel when you lay into the loud pedal with the leaks.

I checked Glens site...and all I see are coil packs for our cars...so I'm not sure what your referring to as FWD...unless your mechanic tried using a series 2 coil pack. I agree with Steve about only using GM modules...as I've seen more than one of the guys up here have less than desirable results with aftermarket modules. Gummed up injector(s), a plugged up fuel filter...or a weak pump could all cause the symptoms you're describing. You really need to know if your FP is rising with boost...and some SM numbers would help.

A 3" cat makes sense...but you have to install the DP...and the exhaust...and then take a measurement to find out what length cat you need.

We've got a strain - Massassauga rattler that is this far north. As a teen I was on the lake headin' to the outhouse. Good thing I had bare feet 'cuz that was the only reason I was watching where I was going and was the only thing that stopped me from stepping on it.

SM numbers would help...and get under the car and verify you have a D5 convertor. There's a huge difference between 18 and 24 PSI of boost with a 44.

I get up this morning and I can hear this pounding noise coming from inside the furnace. I pull the cover off it and I can't see anything that could making the noise. I follow the piping that runs over to the chimney...and that's where the noise is emanating from. I had a steel cap installed over the chimney vent years ago to keep the birds and other wildlife out. I have a one and a half storey house...and the chimney prolly rises another ten feet higher over the peak in the roof. I go outside and look up...and there's a woodpecker pounding on the steel cap I had installed. The drunken son of a whore! WTF!!!

I hacked at the tuning section again this morning...thre w out some old stuff and tried to update it a bit....got some more ideas but, I get to going in circles after a bit.

I am trying to do it ala An idiots guide...but I can never get it dumb enuf

After 25 years of Buicks, it all seems too simple to me and I find it hard to go thru the thought process.

heck, at my age, I cannot go thru any thought process...even simple ones like buy milk when you buy Oreos

I guarantee you'll never get it dumb enuf for me. Seriously tho, I've been checking it out and you've done a great job of updating it.
