Hey guys does anyone know if they made a 6 speed Manual Trans in any Cadillac somewhere near year 2000ish??
My friend says a lady he knows claims she picked up a used one but we never heard of one? I said Floor shift yes but a 6 speed with a Clutch pedal?

General Auto Tech / Wheel Bearings

I'm finally going to do an oil change today before I drop the car off the jack stands I use for winter storage. I picked up some new GM Rotors & Pads about 3 years ago but no bearings included. The bearings on the car now are about 5 years old so can I be Lazy & just reuse them or any reason I shouldn't? Probably won't end up driving it for a week since I need to renew my licence plate sticker & being Late I have to do it In Person!

General Buick Tech / Scanmaster???

I have the updated SM for Power Logger & noticed a couple things. It's in stock configuration for boost control.
When SM is in boost setting I don't remember seeing it show Vacuum?? It will go from -14 to +3-4lbs Boost while standing on the brakes & trying to build some RPM Thing is it's not doing the same exact reading every time?
It's very weird right now. Most times in idle or 2K rpm it's showing 2-3 lbs boost on SM?
Any ideas?? Should SM be reading Vac at idle?? I don't recall it doing that? Maybe I'm just a little frustrated?? 

I tried it Tuner style & I have a ball & spring controller but I have to go back out & write down exactly what happened.
At one time it was puffing oil but I think the ball & spring was plugged up so I'm heading back out to start fresh.

Checked PCV & it seems fine.

A/C, Heating and Cooling / Proper name for this A/C switch??

Lil help guys,
87 A/C Accumulator is an electrical plug that screws on then a round 2 wire plug is used.
If you jump the plug it makes the A/C "stay on" & not Cycle as normal.
I remember it called something like the A/C Compressor Cycling Switch??
It's mentioned whenever someone asks about their A/C not working including myself.
One step in trouble shooting threads is to use a few inches of wire to jump the plug to see if Compressor kicks on. What's the proper name or part number??
Glen had it up at Nos4GN but must be out of stock as it's gone from the page. 
Not on Rock Auto that I can see? I just want a spare & figured I could have someone grab me one from Glen at BPG.

General Buick Tech / Strange engine sound?? Like a Marble bouncing around??

I don't know exactly when this started?? Ray & I drove yesterday for an hour & can't say we heard it but it may still have been there? It only sounds really noticeable  at high idle. More RPM & it's still there but harder to hear? After the drive I changed my oil & I heard it while checking for leaks. It has great pressure as I just had it running at idle up to 1500 RPM for 30 mins. All I know for sure is I can pinpoint it to the lower of front cover area. Pretty sure it's not water pump but will run it with the belt off. Thinking maybe the double roller timing chain is slapping?? I don't know since I've never heard one before? I haven't been under the car yet but i doubt it's the balancer ring? Balancer looks to be running straight so I don't think it's loose but I'll check. Any other ideas??

I just watched an episode of "Border Wars" from Puerto Rico & a Cartel Boss owns a real nice 86-87 GN? I didn't catch the front grill but it was Nice! They thought it was full of drugs & took off a door panel (no damage) but found no dope. They did show his "File Pic" as a Head Cartel Boss. I guess the Drug Cartel has Taste in Cars!! It was on Nat Geo in the last 5-10 mins of the episode & I just happened to see it flipping thru stations.

General Buick Tech / Turbo Exhaust Leak or????

Hopefully I can post these pics. I was playing with the BSTC & made some progress I think but this is what I found under the turbo sheild. It sort of sounds like an exhaust least when cold but even with a Stethescope I still can't say for sure it's leaking??
Nothing on DP seal. Nothing on header - turbo gasket seal. Just on the top from oil fitting area & the cover is filthy on the inside at the top area. It's exhaust & not wet oil.
The cold side wheel looks like brand new & no play at all. never removed the DP. had enuf for 1 day as the back is starting to hurt after 3 houirs bending over.
*The Only Peice I cleaned was part of the Blue Nut/fitting. The Blue line was clean.
The spot on DP isn't exhaust just a shiny spot.
I didn't touch the fitting yet but I will after I spray it with brake clean.

I've got the Power Logger warming up & ready for the dyno at BPG counting at least a minimum of 3 runs (maybe 6) so can you stop in & give me some advice with the tuning?
I'm planning on at least 100 octane & alchy with 26+ lbs boost with the TT race chip I have.
Let's have some FUN!!!
