Dave,

Years ago I saw (personally) the same thing happen to a deer.  I came over the crest of a hill at night and scared a herd on the road and one of them (a young one) slipped and fell.  He got up and ran away and I didn't hit any of them so it was all good!!  :)

Must be nice to be able to test and tune at this time of year!!!  I am going out fishing soon and I don't have a boat, that is right, going out on the ice to drill some holes and catch some fish.

Paul, Jeremys car ended up here in Canada. The twin fan setup and the diff girdle are on my car...and the glass hood is on Norbs' car collecting dust. The last time I saw Jeremys car it was in Port Perry. I believe it was a T Type...but Jeremy can confirm.

Did a young guy North of you own it?  If so then I think that car is now down Leamington way with a 4.1 in it and now painted white.

I've been interested to see what the price is on the NEW Powermasters.  I have good brakes on both cars, GN #1 has Powermaster and GN #2 has Vacuum.  I can argue both sides of the argument!!!!

Yes the yellow car was a peg-leg most of the time I owned it - then I put a posi in it toward the end.

Jeremy,

I know this is an old thread and I am not trying to hijack, but your old peg leg car was it an 86 T-Type by chance??

Just so I am clear, I am not advocating for people to run an Eastern FMIC, just passing along my experience with a "small" FM and how it really helped our car.  I am sure any new IC (FMIC or SLIC) will do the same for you and you will be happy.

Anything you can do to help the flow will be beneficial and be worth your time and effort.  In the above link to the intercooler report I believe they didn't particularly like the Eastern Front Mount.  My Dad bought one of those intercoolers (and it is still on the car) back in early 1995 and it REALLY woke the car up.  The previous best mph was 114 and change and with the same combo, but with the new intercooler the car ran a couple passes of 120 mph.  That to me says about 60 hp and the Eastern FMIC is a small intercooler by todays standards.

I bought a used Eastern FMIC for my car MANY years ago and it is still sitting on the bench waiting for some other upgrades before it is installed and I expect it to work well for me as well.

I recently mixed up a 50-50 mix of ATF and Acetone but hadn't used it until last weekend.  My neighbour was trying to remove the winter tires and rims from his wife's car and I saw him with a sledge hammer beating on the rims.  The rims had rusted to the hubs and weren't coming off so I sprayed some of the home brew penetrant on all of the studs and the centre hub and a few minutes later the rims came off without too much grief.  We were both impressed.  :)

I'm with Forzfed, I like the Delta gates!!!  :)  A lot of people don't like them, but I do, that is why I have them on both of my cars.

Don't forget that this is Ontario so all of those vehicle's would have been impounded since they were all going more than 50 km/h (30 mph) over the speed limit!!!!    :O

Thanks for the lead BCN, but I was looking at the other style Brian has. They look like my factory wheels on my 86. Thanks for checking Earl. Maybe I'd be better off calling. With the new turbo, I suspect I'm gonna have a hooking problem, plus those wheels would look alot better than what I have now. Too bad I heard they're made in China

Gary,

I bought the G-body Parts aluminum rims for my 86 GN and I am quite happy with the look and the fit and finish of them.  Now with that said, I must say that I have had an issue with them.  When I got them, I had my original tires switched to the new rims and the tire shop said that the front tires weren't in good shape which I knew but I had them mounted anyways.  I drove the car and all was well but then I went to a Buick get together and drove on the highway and as soon as I hit 65 mph or just a bit lower, the car started to shake bad.  The vibration felt like it was coming from the front and you couldn't feel anything below 60 mph but you couldn't drive faster than 65 mph due to the shaking, it was BAD.  I took the car back and got new front tires, again a quick drive all felt good even at just over 60 mph.  When I went to the BPG Nats last summer I thought all was well but when I got on the highway running about 70 - 75 mph the vibrations started again and got bad at around 80 - 85 mph.  I haven't "fixed" the issue yet but with my original rims the car was smooth as glass even at speeds over 100 mph.  The car right now is so bad that I wouldn't even be able to make a 1/4 mile pass due to the vibration at speed.  I will get this fixed and I am only ASSUMING it is the rims right now.  The rims do look great and I haven't heard from anyone else that there is any shake or vibration issues with them so maybe it is an isolated incident or something not even related to the rims.  I will let you all know what the actual issue is once the problem is fixed.

The reason I am saying what I am is because I don't like to gamble, I prefer to play it safe... at least with other people's money.   :D

It broke 2 years ago.  Spend the money on it now, I know $400 isn't pocket change but it will be cheap money now versus putting it back together and it lets go in a month's time.
