Cars seems a little obvious but what else do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to weight lift but keep getting hurt so I haven't been able to do it for a couple weeks. My xbox also keeps me company when I am bored and the Buick isn't broken or I am tired of fixing it. And I have a good attraction to guns, knives, and other objects that are weapons.

I play guitar when I am not building transmissions. I just got me another Dean ML and it should be here Tuesday. It will go with my Dean From Hell and the Dean ZX. They all sit in the garage waiting for me to play them. All are pretty much tuned differently for different band styles.
-
Nice Dimebag guitar!! Big Pantera fan here as well. I play billiards 8/9 ball have Brunswick table in the basement along with my Tama DRUM SET!!
Actually me a my friend Mike both have Gn's and we shoot on the same pool team.
It's nice to have friends with Buicks.
-
That's pretty sweet looking! I own an Ovation guitar but am not very good at playing however I dabble on rare occasions. :rock:

That is my newest toy, it's a titanium single knuckle/bottle opener/keychain....but depending on the situation it's just a keychain bottle opener.
And how about an ink pen you can stab into things?

One of my best friends owns a Buick however he lives in Texas. Another friends husband has a GN as well but I don't see them as much. It definitely would be sweet to have a friend who has a Buick and played on a team with ya.

I tried posting other pics of my guitars but it would only take the one pic. LOVE playing my guitars. I lose track of time when that is all I have to do. I can come home, shower and go to the garage and after what seems like a couple minutes, realize it is almost midnight and I still have to go to work in the morning. :D
-
Thanks. I have been a Pantera fan since the very beginning. Love the Dean guitars but growing up, could never afford them. Now I have 3 to go with the 4 other guitars I have collected since 6th grade.

Don't think I have heard of it referred to like that.
What color is yours? :phpbbt;

First and foremost: Fireworks. It's a shame it is so seasonal, but for the amount of work that is involved, it's a blessing. It is common for us to be on the road for 5 days straight. Every year I get more involved with what is going on in the sky and not the ground. My team allows me that privilege because they are so capable. Like Mark, 4 wheeling is something I missed and am getting back into because of my son and some of the MAGNA guys. I had a little mishap with my '88 Warrior recently, somebody help me find a rear axle!!!! My last bad habit is Golf, and that is because I'm bad at it, but it isn't about the game but who you Golf with. Damn, I would love to learn how to play guitar though.

i play music, and not just the record player :rolleyes; my whole family is very musically inclined, so i kind of just picked up instruments here and there, piano, guitar, etc...dad would teach me basic fingering and cords on whatever i picked up, then i'd just figure it out by ear from there. the only wind instrument i took a intrest in was harmonica, and i use it alot in my acoustic thing i do. i also have melody horn i pull out once in awhile for songs that it was used in, oasis, radiohead, etc...
i grew up in a pentecostal church and they are big on playing live music in their services. we didn't have drums, so dad bought me a drumset when i was about 8, and within a few weeks i was playing at church, and continued to until i backslid and moved out at 19. stopped trying to be a rockstar when the singer had to bail in the last original band i was in. i'm getting to old to bother at that level anymore, maybe will do original stuff again just to only have fun. i've been playing guitar and bass in cover bands nonstop also for the last 10 years, and of 2 weeks ago, decided to take a break. hopefully for at least a year. i miss it, but all the extra time is so nice right now. i'm gonna go back to doing some acoustic shows though, its alot more relaxed and in some ways even more fun.
i tried to upload a mp3 of song to the mp3 section that i recorded on my digital recorder for you guys to make fun of, but can't figure out why its not posting? how does that work :question;

When I'm not working, which seems to be all the time, I enjoy a few different things. During the winter months, I am a home-body. I like to work on small projects around the house, play PlayStation (just got Madden '11), and spend time with a special girl. Come summer, I try to be outside as much as humanly possible. I like to take my GN to car shows and cruise nights, mow the lawn at the family ranch, play softball, spend a day at the track here and there seeing how fast I can go/how much shit I can break on the car/watch other fools break there cars, and once and awhile a guy can make a buck by taking his car trailer with him to watch other racers in action :snakeman:

I fish a Lot less now that my 4th Child is here....
Some people spend big $$ on golf clubs, I spend a few grand on my fishing gear
My technique is sucessful every trip out. mostly because I know when and where to go, and my bait prep is almost always Ideal.
I fish mainly Steelhead (Rainbow Trout) but have fished in Albion NY for Brown trout a few times.

Fishing/boating is a big one for me... ever since I've bought my F150, I've been itching to get a boat of my own as well.

So you have a hole in the ground.
When you get the boat you will have a hole in the water.

Hobbies include a variety of stuff with the GN like drag racing 10 runs a year, detailing it, a couple of car shows a year, a couple of mods and tuning.
Additionally I like RV camping with the family (3 kids). Enjoy taking our 30' travel trailer around the Pacific NW.
Play a few rounds of golf. Enjoy the game a lot but just okay at it.
Used to play drums in a rock band but got tired of it and haven't really played in 15yrs.
Newest hobby is dirt bike riding. Bought a Yamaha TTR230 trail bike and having fun riding mountain trails in WA State. Great exercise and a heck of a lot of fun. Plan on doing a lot more this upcoming season. Hadn't riden a motorcycle since I was a teenager (25yrs ago). Good time getting back into it and riding with my kids or other experienced riders.

Ok, to keep this thread going...my other hobbies besides "racing my GN (when it is not in pieces), Modifying and Rebuilding my car,

Nice! I need to get into shooting more, I have a few hundred rounds that are itching to get shot but never have anyone wanting to go to the range. I might have to make a trip by myself.

This year I am looking to get more than just this one gun. A Remington 870, a Marlin .22, and I might buy a lower receiver and start building an AR.

Have an 1911 also...

Don't make me start a 9mm vs .45 thread!

I dare you!

Those are some cute little toys you fellas are comparing...
When the situation calls this is what I prefer:

They are the factory adjustable, here is a better pic...

I might have to look into those sights. The Kimber and Wilson also look nice but I really want some night sights.
A 45 is definitely cooler than a 9mm. The only part I like about the 9 mil is the fact it holds 20 rounds in a magazine.

zap that gun you ordered should be arriving any day now :rofl;

Thanks, I ordered it to play russian roulette with you. I'll go first.

And take all six shots, just to show you what a sport I am

I like taking long walks, skinning things, and masturbating, though not necessarily all at the same time.

My more recent hobby has been DRIVING my Mopars instead of WORKING on my Buick.
-
I'm really starting to hate this Mopar fellow...

ask him about the Broncos

How are they doing this year, BTW?

I dunno, but I don't believe that they are scheduled to play this weekend

I'm really starting to hate this Mopar fellow...
I know I know... you would rather push your Buick than drive a Mopar. Sadly, that's what most of us wind up doing (that is until I sold mine). :rofl;
WAR BRONCOS!

These Californians are loopy!
Greg's the type of guy who, if you get too drunk and need a ride home, he's already at someone else's table.

Only if that someone else is a gothic red head.

Now you're talkin' a little sense!

and of course that ride home would be in a red headed Mopar! *now where is that Mopar smiley?*

We'll get one right after we hand out free swastika cookies.

My hobby has been and will be our new home. Been searching house plans on the internet for the last 6 months. We finally decided on one with a few changes added. Builder is charging us $105 sf & it's 2200 sf on an acre two miles from our current home. It will have a 2 car garage plus an attached 24x24 shop.
