Just my 2 cents but no way in hell I would let the car go. They will make money on it for sure. I did appraising for a few years and they will sell it back to you for less than you think. Its called bargaining. Remember they want to keep you as a customer. I would have that thing stripped and parted out and $$$$ in my pocket. But I am old and like working on stuff that I have an interest in.

I have a good source for data and the 1 inch bars are not as good and that's why I am trying to find the old school bar. I believe I have found 2 and will have them installed this winter.

Sorry Steve I get up too early and wasn't clear thinking yet. I took a couple engines apart and have some bent push rods. I want to put a new cam in and install new push rods at this time. I was looking at the ones comp recommends for this cam but was curious to see what other options guys were using. Thanks for the reply.

Looking at grinding the flashing and sand blast the cover so I am concerned of any dirt getting trapped in the spring.

Looking for any ideas on how to remove oil filter bypass from the filter adapter without destroying it. I want to put it back in after a cleaning.

I am in Kitchener Ontario. I picked the car up last weekend and just had a quick look at it. I will have it on the lift this weekend and know what is good and what's scrap. Drivers door is rotten and will probably be good for its internal parts. I will check in and report back as the project moves forward.
