It only takes a little over 500 hp to run 10.99 and the alky injection serves as fuel as well as cooling the fuel-air mix.  Why are you looking at 800+ hp fuel alone pumps?

lets not go from one extreme to another.
this was just a quick search on the 044 and its IN-TANK use NOT prices or places to buy it.
the first link was for the "Inline use" description from a vendor.
every other link was for the common and regular use of said pump IN the tank.

Good to know that every documented Walbro Failure was in fact a knock-off and not an actual Walbro.-----BTW that was just an example of me taking a simple statement and going to an extreme with it. :D :atbeer:

FYI and better understanding of me-- I Procrastinate about procrastinatin g :rock:

Also i am not looking or even thinking about buying this pump.   
Most talk about having thick skin but thats just BS.
This damn attitude of "you didn't listen to us/me now you should burn in hell for it" really sucks.

Where did you read that EVERY Walbro failure was a counterfeit?  The only thing I know is that the market was flooded with chinese knockoffs, just like it has been with knockoff spark plugs, etc.

I have wondered how many Denso failures were counterfeit.

One thing for sure, if you run out of gas on a Walbro, you will probably damage the pump as they tend to fry when they over rev.  How many guys test their installs before putting gas in the tank and then scream the pump was no good?  Out of that group, how many would admit what they did?

The problem with the internet is that there are no filters on the data and we have no idea as to the percentage of failures out of the total or what caused the failures.

Bottom line is I like to use products that are designed and built for certain a location in that spot.  I will never try and retrofit my charcoal BBQ to cook burgers in my livingroom :icon_eyes:

Agreed specially with fuel.
i am looking at this out of curiosity. especially since its not just one crazy guy with a Buick as i thought.
Its all over the place in all types of cars as the links i posted showed.
That said again ONLY OUT OF CURIOSITY what am i/we missing here? with all these guys with big money into their cars running a "In-Line" fuel pump IN a tank???

Back in the day when we were stupid and no parts available we made double pumpers, 7th injectors, moth balls, Chips that blew headgaskets and a host of other homemade inventions.  Reds fuel pump shimmed with a piece of 12gauge wire and Ford blue top injectors was all that was available. There is plenty of items now on the market  to do it safe and correct.

i am not going to be using one of these YET.
i am just doing research on the 044 and its use in-tank when Bosch and all the listings for the pump have it as an external.???
