Between the last video and this one, I spent more time tuning and getting it driveable. I put about 10 miles on it today - it's to the point you can jump in and drive it - but needs a lot more work.

.....and this is how I left it yesterday.
Over the winter I'll get a set of 3.25 gears. With the 9" the gear swaps are pretty damn simple, well other than trying to put the over 90lb center section back in the housing. Gravity makes getting it out pretty easy!

Ordered some gears on black friday/cyber monday - since they were "on-sale" I splurged a little and went with the REM finished option. After watching and reading some fluff, I decided I'd give it a go. Lets be real these are budget rem polished gears from quick performance. It's an $80 more than there normal budget line. I prefer motive but at the same price, I figured it was worth a shot. The reduction in breaking is worth it to me, I'd have more than $80 in fuel putting 500-1000 miles. I'll heat cycle it a few times, and be easy on it for an undetermined amount of time and then we are moving into WOT pulls.

Brad is bored.  He will come down and show you how Canuck hockey fans bench pressure a few cold ones as well as diffs

Santa brought be a couple more goodies for the Holley setup, protection module for the trans brake input and a can to usb cable.
Sunday my wife through me a surprise 40th birthday party. The weather has been making things rough for me right now so of course the day I ate a medicated cookie for breakfast was the day of my party. By the time I started paying attention to what my wife was doing my parent showed up and guests were 10-15minutes out. We had a really great turnout and I actually really had a great time.  I also got a set of travel limiters for the front end of the car!

Got some pressure transducers coming from lowdoller motorsports.
This weather is sucking the life out of me.
Just because I need some sort of motivation, my goal is to try to run a couple 10.0 index races. Wife is completely on board. Still need safety gear - belts, pants, headsock minimum. I’m thinking 3 layer might be a wise choice at this point.
Once the car doesn’t need so much attention I’ll start getting some parts around for the aluminum 5.3.

A plan is the first step to any adventure. it's always easier to change the plan than it was to make it so you're off to a good start 👍👍
