Website design help
« on: January 08 2007, 01:56:08 AM »
Hey tards,
My cousin and I are going to start a business to "try" and earn some extra money.

We were researching domain names and came to the conclusion we have no idea what the hell we are doing.  Godaddy.com seemed like a good source to purchase a domain name and allow them to host, but again we dont know shit.

Basically we need a site that allows us to show products and allow customers to make orders.   How do we start?  Who should we buy the domain name from?  etc...  Any advice would be great.

Thanks
Girth out

S6 should be able to answer that question. If not, I can
check with my dad. He has an online buisness like that.

I can do anything vector for you Phil, set up to go straight to press. Hit me up when you're ready to look for screen printers or apparel suppliers.

I remember laughing when I first saw Bumper Nuts....now I see them swinging on the back of an SUV probably once a week. It can be done if you work hard enough at it. I had my (now defunct) website through godaddy and they were pretty easy to deal with....cheap, too. I think I bought my domain name for around $50. It would make an easy site to sell through, but I wasn't able to figure out how to really set the site up how I wanted. You probably know people who are infinitely more computer-smart than me, though. Once you get it started, we need to make a Google Bomb of it. I will be starting soon on a new website and don't really know where to start, either.....as is the case with many endeavors, I will be consulting the Grand Wizard Lynch about it.

How do I get a shirt?

The first Mexican/Irish Klansman?

Phil, you're about as sharp as a marble. Can't find a PM anywhere.

Anyway, both you asshole, I'll be learning to use Flash soon, adding to my arsenal of design skills, which will make other websites tremble before yours. Phil, look on my Myspace page, I know studio photography now too, may come in handy.

That means Brian can drink a shitload of Takillya...... and he likes it, too.

Bro, I've got a sick amount of visual work lined up for you.....but I'll find a way to compensate you if you're able to help set up a stooooopid website.
