Does it make a difference if I put the sensor in the lower or upper location on the lines that go to the cooler from the tranny.
-
The one coming back will be cooler, or at least that is the theory. I think I would want it in the before the cooler or hotter line. I'd have to look and see which one that is as I don't know right of hand.
If it is an electric gauge you could get another sender and run em both with a switch and see how well the cooler is working.

Got the tranny out this afternoon..... bell housing bolts were a bitch, don't know how I'll get those back in, specifically the pass side top one. Also there is a unconnected ground strap hanging at the top, I assume that belongs on the drivers side top bolt and someone previously didn't put it back.
Stupid question time, can I flip the tranny over to remove the pan and replace filter? Assuming I can but figured id ask?
Thanks!!!

While the trans is out take a bfh and fold down the pinch weld on the trans tunnel. The belt housing bolts will be much easier then.
-
I use a swivel socket for the bellhousing bolts...and a super long extension. Air ratchet makes life easy.

x2 me too way easier from below.

Yeah I had to use my 2 longest extensions together to get them. Will be buying one long one for installation. Can I flip the tranny to take off pan and change filter? Would be easier but dont know if that would screw up anything....pr obably stupid question :icon_redface:

Get the fluid out or it will exit the vent when you turn it over.
-
Its all drained...than ks !!
-
Buy a long wobble extension and you can get to the upper bolts from the bottom. Reinstall that ground strap.

It'll be like letting loose an animal...
-
next you will be goofing with the rear brakes to hold a decent boost pressure to launch. Ive seen this before. :icon_mrgreen:

Holy cow took it out today working on exhaust leak. Brakes will hold 5 lbs. Boost......... .never left such a long burnout!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even a launch from idle, car rolls out about 2-3 feet and then just roast the tires. Tried a launch with 1 lb and again, smoke show. Will need drag radials for track next year.......lov e it  my 60 ft times have to get better now with some practice.
