Title: Thank you Mr Ford
Post by: daveismissing on September 02 2012, 05:40:19 PM
So both halves of the tailgate cup hinge have rotted. The body portion unbolts.
The Tailgate part is(was) welded on. WTF? Buy a new tailgate?
No wonder guys are welding on a suitable chunk of pipe.

Think Steve would notice that his tailgate is missing?......

Actually DIY Tonneau covers - naugahyde over plywood slid into in alum channels bolted on the rail

So I use the lock on the tailgate and stash tools/chains in big rubbermaid tubs

and catches the rest of the truck rotting away....  :071:

LOL   :icon_lol:

Oh and the rear cab corner mounts too. Usually after about 7 - 10 years.
