I am finally getting my car back together. I purchased a new stock replacement turbo from GN1 Performance. After getting it installed the inlet neck doesn’t line up with the intercooler very well. Did I mess up somewhere? The intercooler is down as far as possible. Is it a turbo problem? Should I have had my original rebuilt? Or am I making something out of nothing?
Also would it be a problem to replace a hard vacuum line with hose?

Re-clocking the turbo should help however you might also want to consider installing an offset silicon hose.
They even have reducing offset hoses if it’s needed for 3 different sized hoses in your case.

I did not know you could clock the turbo. Thank you so much! I will consider both options. Anyone have a suggestion on the hard vacuum line?

Silicone vacuum hose is what I use

Dave what size is the hose 1/4" or something like that? I need to add a couple check valves for HVAC & cruise control & Dorman has a few options.

Here’s a link that lists all the different sizes of vacuum hoses needed for our cars.
You’ll have to scroll down quite a ways to find the list but it’s quite extensive

Thanks Dave I'll take a look but does it really matter that some are larger than others? 1/4 & 5/16 are pretty close in size?

I doubt that it’s really critical ……as long as it’s a snug fit , I’d think you’ll be golden 👍

Yup, just loosen the backing bolts on the Compressor housing and rotate.
