Title: Where is location of Bottom rubber flap
Post by: gnonyx on October 07 2017, 03:47:32 PM
Would anyone know how this rubber flap is fitted?
A picture of your TR having this rubber flap already installed
The attached PDF shows it as #24

Isn't that the bottom of the Grill? I tried taking one apart once to interchange some parts but no way I could get it apart without damage. Mine is a LTD but should be the same? The Springs attach to that piece then the bumper area to keep the grill pulled tight.

Yah, that doesn't look like a flap if that is what is being described.

CARs Inc (www.oldbuickparts.com (http://www.oldbuickparts.com)) has a picture of the rubber flap.
You can see the 4 holes on the rear which will attach to the underside of your rad support with screws.....the front side (with 2 slits) attaches by 5 hole locations to the plastic plate on the rear of your grill. The factory used push pins to attach.

Hope this is making more sense now.

Thank You, It's starting to make sense
Now I have to wait until this rain passes us over so I can take the GN out of the garage and have more room outside.
Wife still needs to wear her ear plugs :013:
