Havent taken them yet.  Wanted to be sure all was good.  I ended up going with the butt connectors that shrink with heat.  that was the fastest route seeing that i needed the car up and running for other purposes. Def take pics tho and upload them.

Yeah, the colors are defnitely changing.  That's very odd.  :icon_confused:  Ok, so i can go ahead and continue to follow the diagram from Casper's.  I just want to be sure before i go forth and screw something else up.  Just my luck i cross the wrong wires.  I guess i could just splice pos to pos and dont worry about color?  Meaning, take B12 in the car and connect it straight to b12 thats on the new harness...?

Hey guys, Im in the process of splicing this new ECM harness into the car, and I found a tan wire on B12.  Im confused b/c the diagram that came with the harness is showing a yellow wire at that location.  Steve's site is showing a blk/wht wire at that location.  both showing injector 5, but the diagram i have is showing injector 5 with a "G." Why is there a tan wire at B12 right now oppose to either blk/wht or yellow?  and, which diagram should i follow?

thanks
its ok,- a ten footer . not as nice shape as most cars here, has stone chips, a spot of rust on the hood .  but its not a garage queen . As long as there is no salt on the road I try to drive it almost any where - see pg 5

My car has a ton of rust, and for some odd reason, I'm proud of it!!!  Lol

and to prove thats the final decision, i just spent $69.20 for the ECM splice harness side and shipping.  When will this be over?

Yeah, as far as I know, I was gonna "find" a way to remove those pins.  Lol.  I suck at planning, but great at executing.  that crimper tool looks no different than some of the ones I have here at work.  I will def get that prep pen seeing that the ECM wont be replaced.  I'm going to thoroughly clean the ECM pins.  I'm so back and forth on this.  I want to just "soak" the connector in CLR because that seems the most efficient and cheapest of all possibilities. Question I have is, IDK what to expect once this job is done. Should my car "run" better, or is this just for the "comfort" of knowing that I can eliminate that as being the problem?  Thanks again for all the responses
