Something like an easy out down in the center and trying to pull/twist it out.

Interesting:
http://www.turbobuicks.com/forums/buick-v6-turbo-tech/91871-power-master-check-valve.html

A picture of a spare PM. Where is the checkvalve,
is it under visible mating surface- if so how would you get it out?
or am I missing some bits?

That part you're showing needs to be pulled out. The check valve and spring are behind it.

the only thing i'll disagree with.. why dont they put it against the vortec max?

You must be refering to video #4.   Why compare it to a vortec max.  Oh, and what's a vortec max???

I love what Ford is doing with the ecoboost engines!!  And you can get it in several of their platforms!!!
But the F150 ecoboost is the most impressive if you want major towing in the 150 platform.....    11,300# towing capacity without having to buy a heavy duty truck! Cool!!

But my next purchase WILL be an ecoboosted Ford product of one sort or another.

Want to  know just how impressive Ford's ecoboost v6 really is????  Check this out....

there are 6 videos, check them all out in order!!!

May want to use a band clamp if you are close to the slip joint - might reduce the chance of getting fresh air sucked in.

I get them from Rock Auto - Wagner brand.

If you look around enough, you can even find those band clamps "stepped", so as to make an even better seal.

It wasn't meant to replace the shop manual, it was meant to be a handy referance manual, with info on commonly needed info.
Especially for those that don't have the shop manual.

no

Why?  I don't recall seeing anything out of date.  Torque specs don't get "old".

They need to do more than tunning!..  They need to learn how to parts match.

When or if you need the accumulator, Kirban's unit is well priced and a high quality unit.

All those reality shows are BS anyway.  Doesn't seem to matter whether they are building cars or motorcycles, there's alway some rediculous 2-3 week deadline to meet.
I were having something so elaborate built I wouldn't want the builders under such rediculous time constraints.  It would always be in the back of my mind, what did they screw up, rushing so much?
