Can someone please take a look at this log and confirm my suspicion that the waste gate actuator is not holding. Boost jumps around quite a bit. Only made a 1st/2nd gear pull and little into third.
HD adjustable actuator, RJC boost controller. Pull starts at frame 500 or so

Any chance your MAP and you TPS get power from the same place? Those twitchy spikes don't even look possible in real world time.

Yes they get power from same place. MAP is connected to power source at the TPS. How could I route another power source for the MAP?

Personally I would install a 12v to 5v converter to supply the MAP power under the hood, or take it off the 5V output on the PowerLogger.

Why? It would be using the same stable power source as the datalogger reading the sensor... or telling the same lie.
As for the converter, nope. I would google it if I wasn't using a plug and play harness.
The other option is use the factory MAP sensor power for the factory boost gauge.

I have a digital dash, so no power source.
Seem to be quite a few converters out there and they are reasonably priced. Anybody ever use one?

Pick up 5v from ecm or maf. No need to make it complicated

If it were my car, I would test my theory that the 5V signal is flakey. I'd run a wire into one of the AUX inputs on powerlogger and go for a blast. If the 5V line reads spotty like the outputs of the MAP AND TPS, I'd find the reason for that and fix it.
If it reads stable, there's no need to Rube Goldberg up the works.
A quick and easy test would be to unplug the MAP from piggybacking off the TPS. Log a run and see if the TPS still gets twitchy. That shouldn't take but a second.

I was thinking the same thing. Quick and easy to disconnect the piggy back from the TPS and run a temp power/ground wire. I'll try to make another run this evening and throw up the results. Thanks

Ran a power and ground to the analog block of the power logger. Run starts at about frame 630. Boost signal is now steady. Would someone care to explain?

elaborate on the power and ground you ran to the analog block... what kind of power and from where?

I disconnected the "T" from the TPS, reconnected the TPS to its original plug. Removed the y harness that ran between TPS and the MAP sensor. Ran power and ground wire from the power logger block, terminal 6 (5 volts) and 4 (ground), to the grey wire (positive) and black wire (ground) on the MAP sensor. Checked it all over, 4.98 volts at the MAP sensor, hooked up the computer, checked for signal on power logger with the key on. Started it up and then went and made the run.

TPS is steady now. Looks like you found your problem with the flaky voltage.

If I followed this correctly- you might want to now log the TPS 5v for a run. You changed the 5v source but what was going on with the old 5V source?

Original problem was that the boost signal was jumping all around from 20 psi to 10 on the log that was in the first post. I thought that I may have a waste gate actuator that wasn't holding the boost. Earl asked if I had the MAP sensor power source spliced into the TPS, which I did. TPS is now back to its original configuration with no Y harness installed. MAP sensor now has a new source for power

I believe Bob does not suggest using the PL grd for anything other than very low current devices

I'll move the ground to the chassis some where
