Jul 16, 2015 - 2015 Ford Edge water leaks will be fixed under customer satisfaction program 15B21

... snip...
Because the factory forgot to put seam sealer on the A-pillars (the pillars on the left and right sides of the windshield; they extend to the floor in front of the front doors.) the dealership mechanics were given the responsibility to install it.
In this case, they needed to remove the dash and carpet to get access to the bottom of the A-pillars and investigate for water damage.
Water leaks behind the dash are a particular concern, as there are a LOT of electronics in there... Entertainment and information systems, Powertrain Control Modules, controllers for door locks and windows... This is in addition to the rust/corrosion penetration warranty. Also people don't take kindly to paying several thousands of dollars for a vehicle and having it smell like wet dog all the time
