It is going to get a lot worse and we are taking the rest of the world down with us.  This may make the jimmy carter inflation look amateurish

Steve, we're no better up here. We voted Trudeau in again for a third time. I honestly don't know what's wrong with Canadians. We love socialism, I guess.

Most people bitching abut gas prices and empty store shelves now have no clue whats coming. EVERYTHING get to you by truck. I'm friends with a couple trucking company owners. One guy orders 30 new Peterbilts every year to rotate part of his fleet. The rep came out and said his current order is cancelled and he wont be getting any. If and when they let him order the price will be up 30% +. Peterbilt currently has over 6000 units sitting at the factory waiting on tranny controlers and other electronic parts. Wait til the big haulers start dropping units from service because they can get replacement parts and cant get new trucks either.

I had a boss that used to say, "when the grass gets short the cows start fighting".......short grass is coming!

It's the same all over the western world.  I was in Australia in the '70's and they elected their first socialist government.  In a flash virtually everyone under the age of 30 went to hell and they did not need a hand basket.  They were too good to work and they did not have to take orders from anyone.  Now, it is one of the worst places going.

Later, when I came back to the states, it was the same.  The only decent people we could hire that would work were illegals from Mexico.  One of them was worth 3 of their US equivalents.

I think it is the fault of my generation and the next one.  We worked hard, we succeeded, and we did not ask the same from our kids.  We spoiled them so they would not have to work like we did.  That has evolved until 19 out of 20 kids no longer have any concept of having to get a job and support themselves.  Out here in the boondocks, the few that will work move away to the big cities or the oil fields and the majority stay home, get pregnant, knock some one up, and collect welfare.  As Pogo said, we have met the enemy and it is us.....

These days, we are shocked when we see someone that is willing to work.

I agree Steve, no one wants to work. Help Wanted signs are up all over town here. This all started when Trudeau started handing money out when the fakedemic started. 2 grand a month to do nothing. It runs out at the end of this month, but I read something about renaming it something else and extending it, tho I think it's less money. We'll see what happens next month.

Trudeau is trying to enact legislation to up immigration to 400,000 a year. He gives them free everything, so they all vote Liberal. He's not stupid. He drops them off in Toronto and other big cities where the most ridings are, so he gets all those electoral votes. I doubt we'll ever see a Conservative minority gov't again. We've lost our Country. This isn't the Canada I grew up in.

I swear that 400,000 came across the border, is coming across the border, or will come across the border and they are not being health checked, or any other kind of check.  Okay, that may be an exaggeration but the border area is swarming with them and they are going in all directions.  It is exactly what the government wants.  More voters.

We have just finished another big downturn in Covid cases so I expect they will have another one before the holiday season.  Texas (like Florida and a few others) refused to mandate a lock down and as far as I can tell, that made very little difference in the severity of the impact-if any at all.  Of course the leftist's are writing articles and putting pronouncements about how bad it was and how much better it would be if there had been a lock down.  When I look at other states, I really don't see any difference other than we did not kill our economy and more people kept working.

So far, the federal government has continued to try to stop the use of any drugs that might ease the illness or speed up the rate of recovery.  Most of the drugs being used by those treating the patients are cheap and common drugs that have been used for other things for years.   that probably tells us something.

I know a few people that have caught both versions of the virus and recovered quickly.  I also know there have been some people that caught it and went back to work a week or two earlier than they should have.  One would think these would have spread the virus like made given that hardly anyone wore a mask this time around so there was really nothing to stop it from spreading.

The stands are full at baseball, football, car racing events, etc. Yet we have seen no super spreader occurrences.  The rate of infection seems to be about the same as it has been for the past two years.

People have died including some that had both shots.  If one could really dig into the cause of death, I think many of these would come up with serious problems that contributed that had nothing to do with the virus.

As of this date, the only data that was obtained in a controlled manner regarding the use of masks has been the study in Denmark.  The Danes came to the conclusion that there was no significant differences between the groups that wore a mask and those that did not.

That seems to coincide with my own observations around here where hardly anyone wore a mask on this second wave and yet the uptick and recovery happened quickly.  I think that those did not lock down, got sick and got well in a relatively short period of time.  those that locked down have stretched it out over a longer period of time and did far greater damage to their local economies.

It is really difficult to believe anything that comes out of the mouth of the government.  It's clear to me, anyway, that they have decided to use the virus as a means to reshape society to fit their communist tilt.

I am by no means an anti-vaxxer.  I have had two shots and may take a third at some point.  I do not see the need for it for kids and younger people that have good health.  Some one is making a lot of money out of this as well as forcing a refacing of our country (s)

I'm sure all the covid bullshit coming to an end in Ontario March 28th and Doug Ford coming up for re-election for Premiere of Ontario June 2nd is just coincidence.

It's America - let's all be adults, make our own decisions, and let's be accountable for our decisions. I'm not anti-vax at all, but they are really pushing this vaccine and that's what bothers me. My wife was bullied into it by her boss, and now is being pressured for the booster. We are in an extremely low risk area and not a high risk for severe illness. If I lived in a highly populated area with more diveristy and different cleanliness standards, It'd be different. They are already starting case studies for how the vaccine affects people with chronic pain, and that tells me it's enough of an issue that I should probably wait.

Big Pharma is pushing the jabs for money...plain and simple. Look up how much their stock has risen. 5 minutes worth of homework and you'll find out the efficacy of each jab is only 3% after 6 months, hence why they're pushing for the 3rd jab. There will be a 4th, a 5th and on and on. CDC is already changing what fully jabbed is. You guessed it, it's gonna be 3 and on and on. I assume everyone had a polio shot. Do you get 3 polio shots per year. I'll be here all week.
