I have the ultraflow ss on my GN and the Hooker Maximum Flows on the T.  Both are straight thru types and neither drone.

As far as the VT's, I have never seen or heard them, but, I am sure goggle will come up with something if you include turbo buick in the search term.

For best performance, turbos like as little backpressure as possible.

Nothing ever droned as badly for me as the original turbo  style mufflers that I installed when the car was new....I  quickly upgraded to the Ultraflows...

Shimmy Steve is getting older getting older? Noise doesn't seem to have the same fun for me anyways.
The real quiet solution is 3 mufflers, Bob Bailey and a few others have had them custom fabbed

I recently changed mine to dual 3" Borla S-Types.  I had the S-Types on my Chevy SS before I sold it and really liked them.  They are straight through design, and are made to be a little on the quiet side with no drone.  The idle sounds good and they really make a wonderful sound at full throttle with the turbo.  Overall I like them.  Cons:  a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Mr. Missing!  I am getting older for sure....but everyone needs some good mufflers, for example:

C'mon down and listen to my challenger!  526 cubes outputted thru two 3" race bullets....Dro ne?  LOL

Love it! Breaking traction on shift !! Anyways that is way different from the highway steady state drone.

I cannot tell how much is drone and how much is just plain noise at cruise...It never is quiet enuf to tell the difference. LOL

It looks like it was just starting to hang the rear out right before the shift and it moved violently on the shift...scared my son and he is never afraid.  It has a very stiff Hotchkis suspension so I don't think it shifts weight very well...not sure what the fix is.    255 x 17 Nittos don't provide much bite either...

that is my son and he hardly ever lifts, but those are pretty step ditches on each side of a well crowned country road.  He would have been afraid to come back if he rolled it.. LOL

Nice car! Lift to play another day!!  :icon_lol: Sounds good but I'm looking for a quiet cruiser with some bark on acceleration. Think I'm going to try the vt's and report back

Couldn't find any ultra flow VTs so I got regular ultra flow, they seem to be constructed exactly like the pypes race pros inside and out. Sound a bit deeper on start up and idle. Have not taken a drive yet so no report on drone or interior sound
