Right, I have considered buying another but then I'd have two and one would still need paint. I'm not rich enough to deal with two GNs. I'd rather have one queen over two commoners.
Reason I'm thinking frame off is because the body is stripped and nearly ready for blasting. I still need to remove the front clip though. When that happens it's not much more to take the body off. I'm doing all the work minus blasting and paint and body.
I'm worried about the frame, it's in good shape but I know I'll end up stripping that down too...piece by piece. I don't know if I really want to put myself in that situation.
I heard there's ten bolts to remove the front clip.

I guess it's a good time to replace all the brake lines and fuel lines...probab ly cheaper than a good lookin' g/f considering how ugly you are...

If I frame off yes, I'll probably redo everything. That's what I'm scared of. Then, when it's in a million pieces and everything is beautiful I'll put it all back together again and call it Humpty Dumpty, lol. Im fucking scared.
I might be ugly, I may be obese, but I could be good looking like you, latched onto women and unable to spend all my money on toys.
And screw it, I'm just going to take the front clip off piece by piece, if I do the frame off. But the dash, I'm not messing with it. Thanks for the tip about the fuel lines though. Keep the ideas and tips coming because I'm sure I won't think of things that you'll reming me of (like the hinges).

That is a lot of work! Do you have any pictures of the current state of the car? Opinions will probably mean more when everyone has an idea of what they are looking at.

Here's a teaser. The car looks bad. I'm honestly kinda embarrassed. It was what it was but it's time to fix what was broken. I must redeem myself. I have saved for a long time.
The Grand National is all I have that matters. I've neglected it because i didnt have enough money to do the body right. Now, I'm ready. When I say "I own a Grand National, nothing else matters", it's not a catch phrase, it's the Law. My law.
More insite as to why I'm probably going to go all the way. I mean, why not? Most people have hobbies they blow thousands on. This is mine. And I shouldn't say this but I might do something really crazy with it not long after I finish.
See, now I'm talking like I'm in the frame off lane. Am I going to have to remove the dash? Please say no.

Go all the way...don't worry about it...cuz it's a drop in the ocean compared to the complete race setup I have. And the money I piss away every year racing...well. ..we're not even gonna go there. Hitting the track with friends is what I live for. Nothing else matters. The only thing I'm thinking about right now...is racing under the lights Friday night. My mother saved her whole life and passed away at 52 without getting a chance to enjoy it. I'm 53...and I ain't waiting to have fun...cuz when you're dead...it's too late.

Whew I'm scared and don't know if I can do it. I'm not too worried about taking everything apart it's the putting everything back together part that I'm scared of. Take pictures and notes I know.
When I look at restoration sites I get motivated, I look at my car I get scared. I'm thinking about buying a rotissary so the media blaster can really go to town but then I'm scared that I'd mount the body wrong and minutly warp the body. Ugh I just don't think I'm qualified for a frame off. Still debating though.

The body
The frame
Both.
I don't want to see all this rust.
There's even rust on the frame in the engine bay.
