I'm going to relocate my ECM, the reason doesnt matter.
So my question, where would YOU put it? I'm not opposed to making/buying an extension harness for it to put it pretty much anywhere.
Concept:
easy to connect power logger/change chips
out of the way of the passenger's feet
clean appearing
I was thinking about a bracket to mount it under the passenger side under-dash panel. I think I could bend up some aluminum to make that work pretty well, and I wouldnt need to extend the harness.

It would be neat if you could just open the glove box door and "wah la!" there it is.
-
That was my first impression also, unfortunately the harness is JUST a little short for that. I'm also currently working on repurposing the glove box as the hub of all the aftermarket electrical crap... thats not to say that it cant do both.
Maybe I can hang it upside-down behind the glove box so at least one could access the chip and powerlogger?

I kind of like being able to look down there in the floor to see if the power logger is flashing a little green light. That might be something to consider being able to see the little green light
-
I just routed a USB cable to the PS seat area. Hooking and unhooking the powerlogger is about as easy as plugging in the cable.
Can't really think of a better place to mount it than where it is.
-
I have a speaker in the kick panel over there... and the stock plastic is about falling apart anyhow. I'm thinking that there has to be a slick way to hang it from the under dash panel.
-
I have come to the conclusion that if the ECM was mounted connector side down we would have a built in drip loop and A-piller /T roof drips would no longer torment us.

Gut the backside of the glovebox and mount it to the door.
