FEL-PRO Transmission Pan Gasket
« on: February 24 2020, 08:08:04 PM »
Can I apply silicone on pan for this Fel-Pro gasket, or install it dry?

I have always installed them dry.  If I were using silicone, I would glue the gasket to the transmission instead of the pan.

Do you used the same gasket type, and if not what brand?

The gasket you have is fine. No sealer.

Not much choice in gaskets for the transmission. Felpro is what I have used.  One of these days I will change mine again.  They tend to start leaking when the car is not driven much-just like all the other gaskets :D

72-120 lb-inches of torque.  I think I used to set my wrench to 100 lb-inches
