Arizona bound
« on: November 22 2016, 05:29:11 PM »
One of the lucky 5!!!!!! I usually don't win anything but maybe as I'm getting older my luck is changing. Just found out today but the date isn't set. I'll be in Daytona at the end of February, I hope they take that into consideration.

1st is the wiring harness. I'm thinking that may be a huge challenge. I'm still on the fence on XFI

Thanks guys, I rarely win anything either Jason. I did the 10 lap challenge at Dover and it's tougher than it looks. It was 125 degree track temp driving the equivelant of an ARCA car. I averaged 125 mph lap speeds which is sorta pathetic. I was used to my dirt track days and it just didn't compute. By the time I figured it out it was time to quit. I think this time the instruction will get me better speeds. I thought beating on someone else's car would be easy too, but the car seemed more a rattle trap than anything, I expect the Challengers to be a lot more solid and smooth. I'm extremely pumped, this just might edge me toward retirement and in to travel mode!

I didn't go yet, they scheduled it for the last weekend in March. They asked everybody for dates that couldn't be changed, like us going to Daytona. Than they set the date.

It seems we just got back from Daytona, but the time is finally here! We leave Harrisburg 7 am Friday 24th, connect at Phila. and than straight to Phoenix. I couldn't believe all the  paperwork we had to fill out, it added up quick. Release forms, tax forms, insurance forms....We have the option for stick or automatic. I signed my wife up for an auto and I picked what I'm thinking will be a six speed. We're at the track all day Saturday and than they have a four wheeler trip set for Sunday after breakfast. That was bonus news. Anybody out there live near Phoenix?
