Hook it up tuner style...and forget about it.

What does that entail?

Do away with the Y-Connection...and hook a vacuum hose from the port on the turbo directly to the actuator. Leave the solenoid plugged in...or it'll kick a code.

Why on earth do you want to give up boost control?  :rolleyes:

Since most small batteries like AA's  AAA's, C's, D's, etc are all 1.5 volt.  It's would take a 9 battery pack to make the needed voltage for relialble operation. So to keep the battery pack reasonably small you're talking about AAA's or AA's.

Personally I prefer the cig litghter adapter. You can't get much more portable than that.

Photography can make a car look a lot different than it really is!!  The 87's paint is perfect, the 86's paint is really BAD ( a 30 footer).

I run both.  Narrow band and wideband, and they both controle the car in their own specialized environement.

While at part throttle, that is to say, idle and cruise, the narrowband is in control, because in all the testing and data logging I've done over the past couple years, the narrowband just can't be beat for really really tight control at these condtitions.

However, it's out of the picture when at WOT, so I use a wideband to control things at WOT.

The best of both worlds!!!!!!
