Converting WMP files to MP3?
« on: January 04 2006, 05:21:26 PM »
I'm trying to create a page at purevolume.com and it wont let me up my music claiming it's not an mp3. Is there an easy way to convert it?

Ah shit, give me an hour... I totally spaced on this one. I have all your songs on the first CD you sent me and then the King of Shit Hill and Flies at El Malpais. Is that all of them? I can ZIP them up and upload to Rapidshare for you. What's your maximum size for your website? We'll kill 2 birds with one CD.
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

I have to give Elvis credit for this one...Back when they had the radio thing up,
Travis recommended a program called Easy CD-DA Extractor. That program
works the balls. You can also change the kbps and stuff to suit your needs.

Is there any way to compress these? I need to get "King..." under 4.0 MB.

You can lower the bit rate. There is also a site called Auditri or some thing
like that that will host up to 200 mb of music per user for free.
Do a google or yahoo search for them.
