Title: Torque Converter Lock-up speed
Post by: Top Speed on March 28 2020, 12:14:00 PM: I have been driving my car lately after replacing my broken bumper fillers and notice that the torque converter is locking up at 70 mph. It seems a little high for me driving unless at interstate speeds. I believe the stock lock up speed is 48 mph. Does anyone have any opinions for what speed might be best for street driving?

Post by: TexasT on March 30 2020, 08:36:25 AM: 70 is pretty fast. I would go 55-60mph as that thing locking and unlocking in mid speeds is annoying to me . I just want it to lock once we get cruising on the hwy.
