For all the solid advice they provide, answering our dumb questions, plus the ones nobody else seems to be able to.

Helping someone is often a question of getting lucky and asking them the right question. I am always amazed at how many people will not ask questions on a forum but they will email me with their problems. Sometimes I figure it out right away and then sometimes, I get one like the guy that I spent four months trying to figure out why his problem seemed to come and go...when it started, the cam sensor was badly worn and replacing it seemed to fix his problems for a couple of weeks and then it started acting up again. I went over and over and over the clues without fixing it. Then one day, someone looked at his car and asked him why the coil/module was not bolted down tightly...seem s as he had removed it initially before I figured out he had a bad cam sensor drive and had not ever put it back on right....one question I had never asked him :D
I figure if I get one out of four right, it's pretty good for long distance

heck, I would go for a Dr. Pepper! C'mon down, my latest project is trying to consistently hit a steel target at a 100 yds with my .44mag S&W 629. I would be damn good if it were horseshoes

I rousted a grackel off the fence with my Red Ryder this morning. A 75 yd shot.
Had to aim 2 ft high and 2 ft to the right to hit him. (took half a dozen tries :icon_redface: )

Memorial Day week end, This little house had six people plus one kid and four dogs in it. I went to bed at midnight most nights and the rest drank beer, played board games, and laughed their asses off most of the night. During the day we shot all kinds of guns and blew up some tannerite. I figured the law would show up to join the fun but that was the week end that guy went nuts and drove back and forth thru here and the surrounding area shooting at all those people. I guess the law was too tired to show up.

I Elmer Fudded a groundhog out the back door of the shop. We're so infested I'll buy the beer, you guys bring the firepower, it'll be fun :cheers:

Last night we where at a friends house, he was showing us some of his guns. He is retired army.
He has a (I think) its a army issue colt 1911 (if thats not it, its very similiar and aperrantly made the gun a long time, since 1890's or so), and he showed me the three methods of safety on it. One was in the rear of the grip, another words, it wouldn't fire unless the palm of your hand was squeezing it. and one of the other methods was if the end of the barrel was pushed "in", it wouldn't fire.
He said most don't know about that one, and supposebly was designed that way in case your attacker grabbed your gun and pointed it at you at close range (say...at your chest), you where to push yourself into the barrell, and it wouldn't fire.
Made total sense when he demonstrated it.
